well in all honesty man... i drive a truck around all day and when i hear people say "o kids are the worst drivers ever!" i shake my head and laugh, i see the worst drivers day in and day out and guess who is behind the wheel... not a kid... but a full grown adult
not saying there arent shitty teen drivers but adults as a whole i say are much much worse

hey same thing happened to me, but they didnt touch the metal part, only the bumper, i sanded it all down, and repainted that entire area with GM color match spray and clear coated over it, it took me about a week and about $30-40 bucks but it was worth it because her insurance paid me $650. yours should be alot more than that because she hit the actual metal part.

 

MAKE her pay. MAKE her turn it into her insurance. Hopefully they drop her and get her careless ass off the road!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I wouldn't say they suck. When I was in high school, I only had one accident and it was only $400 to fix(no damage to my car, only to the Accord). The other accident was me out job hunting. I had no money, missed my interview, and did about $5k work in damage. Busted the person's taillight...as for me, this run in happened in probably the most annoying part to have it in a 02 Camaro, it was b/t the front bumper and front edge of the fender. It was all crunched in from headlight to foglight, went as far in so as to bend the battery mount.

But like what everyone else says, just get the insurance out of her. Thats what its there. I assume she wasn't ticketed for it so its not like you can make enemies anyway. As for the insurance company dropping her and getting her off the road...there are an awful lot of people here who drive w/o insurance.

 

This is the third she's actually reported. Yeah.

Well, some people at school (her brother, etc) would probably end up doing more damage to my car if I made her pay.. It's better off sometimes to be nonabrasive. I don't want to pay of it, but that's just how it's gonna be.

High school drivers aren't the worst if they actually care about there cars. Its the highschoolers who dont care about there cars that are so bad at driving its sad. Boys are mainly the better driver at normal speed, but all decide to speed. Girls are unable to handle high speed and cant' park for anything. Older people are the true problem going 35MPH on the blvd in philadelphia is a danger to every other driver. Your speed limit should be calculated to how fast you can react to situations.

im in highschool and im not a bad driver... im super paranoid cuz of the nice cobalt i drive. im so scared to wreck it, i dont drive stupid.

 

Funny enough my wife complains about my speeding when I say I'm going whats allowed for the situation(open, dry road) compared to her going ~65 at all times due to police anxiety. As for elderly, I just got done with an article at Tom's Hardware Guide about GM researching windshield displays to help with seniors driving thats involving lasers and camera(and probably IR, but they already have done that). Still won't help reaction time, but at least they might have a chance at seeing Spot before they run him over.

Never been to NJ, but I know that there are some drivers here who I think deliberately cause traffic jams by going 65 in the left lane, and force people to cut through the middle lane to get around them.
