Wierd HID issue

Thumbs down Wierd HID issue

i have gen 1 lights with 8k hids, they both come on like they should but after driving for like 5 minutes the right one goes off. i dont understand why. also if i turn my brights on then back to low beams only one light will come back on, and its random, its not always the right one. help please this is driving me crazy, thanks.

sounds like it is shutting off cause of over heating from the ballast. do u have relay harness? do u have analog ballast or digital ballast?

Guessing no relay harness and a poor connection somewhere that is heating up enough to cause the voltage available to the ballast to drop enough that the ballast quits.

Recheck all connections you made........

sorry guys i havnt been on here since i posted this, ive been busy, between work school and fixing the other **** with this car.

I do not have a relay harness, and im not cmpletely sure on the ballast but i think they are digital. i dont think its overheating, after thinking about it i think it has something to do with DRL. because at night time they both always stay on, UNLESS, i switch to brights then back to lows, but i dont understand why when i turn the lights off then on, or switch from parking, or birghts back to lows that sometimes only one comes on.

If your not using the relay harness. You must pull the DRL fuse.
