Ok so i've painted the housing of my headlights black, tired of messing with cheap aftermarket halos from ebay. Anyways i'm going to put Audi LED's in them here in about 2 weeks once they come in and was just wondering if anyone has painted their headlights like this and if it changes the light output or not? I've got 10000k bi-xenons in them.

sweet, the bottom of the reflector part? thats the part i'm asking about, cause i've painted the housing black, but if it's not going to effect the light output by painting the bottom of the reflector then i'm going to paint that too when i put the audi leds in.

 

I painted the part you are talking about black, I have a 6k HID plug and play kit in it. After I painted it I noticed that I have less glare going up high and into other cars infront of me. Now my HIDs look stock, go for it!

 

awesome, i was kinda wondering if maybe that helped with the glair into oncoming traffics eyes. i guess i'll definately be painting it.
