Do you think that the tape would hold up to with the wind resistance? I remember seeing these installed on a mustang in the Roush factory, but I think they used a lot of tape, but also drilled into the car, not sure though.

It would be ideal to replace the window, and install a good set of these, but that is a lot of work, and custom fabrication.

double sided 3m tape usually works to hold on just about anything, but I'm wondering about how much resistance this thing has.

If it has no outlet, only an inlet, you are going to have a massive amount of air pushing on this thing from the inside. I just don't think it will hold up at 45+ mph.

I dunno I am not an expert in aerodynamics... just saying what came to my mind

The only thing i can think of is if maybe it creates an air bubble and no air will actually enter it just flow around it (kind of like a truck bed with the tailgate closed)

*lip kits and everything else have a way for the air to flow around it, not into it with no escape.

just when i thought i had seen just about everything ricers can do to cobalts, you want to put these on your car.

not only would they look completely dumb, but they are taking away sight from your rear window, i mean (not that its giving you a lot of vision out of that tiny window) but still.

im with the other guys, where is the GIMMIE SOME VTECK STICKAS WITH THIS MOD vote?

How about you stop raggin on other peoples ideas. just cuz you dont like it dont mean that others wont. I get compliments on mine all the time. Hell I had a guy that fully restored a 73 corvette tell how much he loved the look.

You are the guy that thinks lip kits, vertical doors, or anything else is dumb. but why stop there. why not hate the people that tint their windows.... its killing visibiliy? How about hate the guys that debadge their cars and remove exterior trim? the car didnt come that way so why get rid of it? wait, doesnt your SS come with a lip kit... well thats dumb... why not take it off, its just causing drag and extra weight.

If everyone had the same standard of what they thought was a good idea.... then everyones car would be exactly the ******* same. every cobalt would have the plain fascia that comes with the base model with no fogs. why add extra stuff? there is no purpose other than to give it a different look.

In other words... lay the **** off and shut the **** up. I hope someone makes these cuz if you look throughout this thread there is a good 20-30 guys here that would jump on it immediately.

hmm... ignorant much?

I mean jesus... our (well the ss/sc guys) balts come with a freaking giant wing. Nothing much more "rice" than a huge wing. Wrong car forum to complain about rice on.

P.S. I love my spoiler, so shut it! lol

yeah i was thinking about this too and i still think even with them being open it will not cause too much drag. I might just put an insert in though like the stock mustang hood scoop. I'm not really sure. I'm going to test them out before I make a decision.

honestly man just like the guy before you, no one cares about your opinion. It literally means nothing. There are plenty of people who are interested in this mod. and like you said that rear window does pretty much NOTHING. Also, I'm most likely making these like vent shades as a black tinted high impact resin. you can see through it or you could completely paint it. never the less. please stay out of this thread.

ditto to above comments..every1 says this is rice and that is unnecessary but when it comes down to it, if a certain following of ppl didnt like wht some call ricey, then they wouldnt exist. and the same ppl who say that something looks ricey, say thats a badass balt or i wish i had that on my car when they see it in real life.. plus ppl say that louveres are useless and ricey..well lets talk about the big ass ss wing that comes on the ss/sc balt or the fact that most car owners replace their stock stereos with subwoofers and amplifiers when there is nothing wrong with the original equipment...i'm not saying that i dont like these things but all those complainers have one of the two mentioned things...and if not one of those ppl spend thousands upgrading an engine that except for on the track will most likely never get used to its full potential...so haters cut the bull...if you dont like the idea..don't write on the thread..simple as that.

but seriously when are they gonna be for sale??

X2 lol

I like them myself. Its hard to make a choice, cuz they both seem like they would look great. The post about the one that looks like the mustang style looks alright, but I don't know about mimicking ford...
