i dont think that they would be illegal because alot of cars have them and even recently i passed a ford dealership that sold a mustang with a pair already on them....plus the widows being covered are pretty much pointless except for giving some light to backseat passengers so as not to feel like back seat prisoners

 

I thought this was supposed to be a union of all Cobalt fans????
This pointless hating serves no purpose other than to show that some of us are no better than the other groups out there.
We need to accept our fellow member's preferences and appreciate that as being diverse and unique.
I happen to like the look of the side louvers and don't give a damn if people think that it is a Ford thang.So what?It is all in what you like as an individual , if more than one likes it (like some actually do here), than that is a bonus!
Quite honestly, i do not go for the huge wheels which degrade the side wall of the tires , which would make me think that the ride would suffer.I just do not happen to like it, but I don't razz anyone for doing it.I cannot see dumping thousands of dollars in an engine to make a few extra horsepower that we cannot legally enjoy, but hey, that is their choice.
It is all about making your ride the way you like it!

I have a GT scoop somewhere in my shed if you want to throw that on your balt aswell.

 

You know.... I guarantee the first guy to put louvers on his mustang had to deal with ignorant people like the poster above...

 

I doubt it considering it was an Ford OEM thing...I was actually half-way serious I've been meaning to put it on ebay anyways.

 

Well just cuz it was OEM doesnt mean some dude still didn't get shredded for the idea.

IMO I don't think either would match the body of a cobalt... All smooth and round then a brick on the rear quarter window. But I figured if for some reason they like it then if they had the scoop atleast something on the car would go with it. To each his own I guess.

 

I think louvers would look great on a cobalt with a drifter body kit and high profile spoiler. which is my dream. hopefully to be done soon.

i was driving today, and looked out of my 1/4 panel window on one of those weird intersections. Then I stopped to think and I was like....I shouldnt be able to see out of that. WTF IMPULSE!?
