I have a black SS and want to get tinted, its a black SS/NA i was thinking 5% rear and side Rear, and 20% up front (i live in NJ illegal for any tint in the front) any suggestions for a better looks ?

 

Get us to paying the tickets, Drive with your windows down as much as you can. Got 2 tint tickets last weekend and i have 5 percent with 35.

 

i live in jersey and so does greg ss. greg has 5% all the way around and he has had it thru all of the winter and got 2 tickets i think. im getting mine done in a ocuple weeks and im gettin 5% on the back 3 and im getting 35 for the front 2

 

Mine is 15% all around

 

should look aight, the tint shop i went to wouldn't put 5% on the back window because they were afraid it would fall down(thus them having to replace it because of a LTW)

same law in michigan. i have 20% all around and havent gotten a ticket yet

I had one that said that but the letters were too small and I am sure someone would complain about it lol.

going be hard to see at night use to have 13% had roll my windows down.

 

i have 25% all around.. little hard to see at night but not bad.. you can see in a little bit during the day

i have 25 all around. i loke it. sometimes i wish it was 20, and other times im glad i got the 25... but that law sucks dude. legal here is like 32 (tint plus factory tint in window)

 

Legal here is 50%...I got 35% all around and haven't been bothered in 2 years. It's light enough that cops don't care, but dark enough to still look good.

 

I have 15% all the way around, and no one has harassed me yet.

i have 20 all around and got pulled over for the first time yesterday for it...and for too loud exhaust... good thing that my gf dad is a cop! haha

 

be a man and get 5% all around and just be on top of your power windows. If you don't get 5s you will always be like **** i wish my tint was that dark whenever you see someone rolling around with em.

 

5% looks like garbage in my opinion. It looks like someone too black paint and painted your windows completely.

5% is good for shows and that's about it. It's totally useless when trying to back up and look out of the windows at night.

20-30% is good and looks good too. You can still see through the windows and you don't have problems backing up at night.

5% ROCKS ! I have no problems backing up or looking out my windows. Can't see in during daylight and no way in hell you can at night. Been stopped several times, always johnny on the spot rolling them down and have yet had a cop say anything to me.. ** Knock on Wood ***

The important thing is getting a quality tint job. make sure you get them to take the tint all the way to the top of your front side windows with no lines. Alot of places bitch and say they cant or it will peel but they just suck at tinting tell them you want a factory tint line. Also make sure you get a black vinyl strip over the dot matrix (little dots at top) of your rear glass. Also get black vinyl strips put over the dots surronding the rear glass and side rear window glass. If you get a front strip on the winshield i reccomend not getting the vinyl over the dots b/c it will make a cool pattern. [/url][/IMG]

and do yourself a favor, use the same level all around or you risk getting a little diff shade look in the diff windows...

 

when i had 35% i never got pulled over (35% is legal)
when i had 15%, i literally got pulled over on my way to the tint shop to get it changed to 5 percent
now ive had 5% all the way around for only about 4 days and no problems yet

^^thats for the front windows, my rear 3 are all 5% (legal)
