Window tint on taillights?
Window tint on taillights?
So i might be getting my windows tinted next week(money permiting) and the guy can also do taillight tinting i know most, if not all of you, use nightshades but im just wondering is it bad to use window tint (im assuming thats what he uses) on taillights, if so why?
-40*c. thats also -40*f... where the **** are u driving around the north pole?
i dont see why not. and if he uses a heat gun to bend the film to the contours of the taillight, it should come out fine. honestly i would ask him to take the taillights out to make sure he covers the whole thing and there isnt an untinted area showing bright red when u brake.

im wondering how it would hold up to the weather changes since tint is usually on the inside it doesnt have to go up against road grime and weather changes id make sure to ask if you could wash it also see if any kinda chemicals would mess it up.
well im no p-r-o-fessional but i would NOT use tint...tint looks alot diff than nighshade when light is emitted through it. and sense its not a translucent paint like nightshade im assssssssssuming that it would restrict light alot worse then nightshade, depending on what percent ofcourse, my buddy did his m3 with tint and it almost looked like a really dark brown film was on his lights.lol plus its very easy to scratch tint, someone rubs their jeans (ya know some jeans have those little metal things on them??) against one of them and youll have a scratch, which will stick out like a sore thumb when ya hit your brakes...if that happens with nightshades you can just take it out and re-spray it or touch it up....cant do that with tint.
first u cant tint a oval light there will always be a crease......second nightshade is shyt....third go get them painted professionaly and will last for the life of the car....i bought a new set of 7 lights professionaly tinted for 135$ shipped thanks to fusion :-)
135>14.99.....lol
why is nightshade "shyt?" ive had it on my car for about 2 years now and it looks just about the same as it did the day i painted them.
Professionally would probably look a little better though. plus if your leaving the white part white on your inners it will be perfect. ( i spent an hour taping mine and they still didnt come out the best)
