Wiring for LEDs

i just bought some LED light strips and was wondering where to wire them to. so far i know you can wire them directly to the battery, tap into your cig. lighter, or into fuse box. i would like to only have them on when the car is running, but i dont really wanna mess with tapping into wires to do it.. What have you guys done??

I also bought some for the rear but i'm still not sure where to mount them in the back. can i get some pictures of where u mounted LEDs in the rear and front?

Thanks

i bought a 4 tube kit offline, forgot the site, but it has like a on/off switch and on the switch u can change the pulse and stuff.

anyways i wred it into the ac power by your shifter (if ur an auto not sure where it is in a manual) bu i just spliced it into that power source and found a ground. u can't use the plug when the light r on obviously but i have had no problems.

If you want it on when the car is on you could run it from a ignition source or radio, I ran mine to where they come on when the door is open

What would I wire them to if I wanted them on only at night (when the interior lights are on)?

What I do for things like that is I wire them to something that strickly works ONLY when the car is on, for example rear defog. or what I used for the Evil Eye mod was the windshield wipers. I put a switch on them so that even when the car is on, I turn them on. Wiring it up that way will stop you from draining you battery if you forget to turn them off.

Due to limited tools and places to do things I used my dremal tool and cut a hole in that little slot where you can put your wallet next to the ebrake. There are a bunch of better places to put it, ie. next to either one of the cigarette lighters...but yea. Its descret, thats why I like it.

yea. descret is good! when you said you wired your lights to your windshield wipers did you mean via fusebox or just splicing wires?
