I don't car that your Hubby had his Super License to race with Kawi either. Doing 185mph on 2 wheels with a person on the back is simply dumb, especially since you probably didn't do it on a closed course. DUMB. The only exception that I would make is if you had on full race leathers and a proper helmet. Either way, I don't think those would matter ONE BIT at 185mph.

I love how every time someone even mentions putting SS/SC stuff on their car the SS guys get their panties in a bunch. Yet as soon as one of you mooks goes to sell your stock parts you target every LS and LT guy on the site to buy them

Yeah well their spoiler is special and unique and we shouldn't touch it EVER. It obviously makes up a good $5000.00 of their car ya know. I mean sure the thing looks absolutely fine on my LS now that its lowered and has rims but hey, can't have your little brother wearing your fancy jacket now can ya?

I think a lot of these SS/SC guys just need to get over themselves. Does it honestly matter what someone does to their car? True phonies always get called out on it, no one is going to mistake an LS for an SS/SC when its governor kicks in and it can't get over a hundred, no matter if it has all the body kit effects and badges. So whats the point?

 

Most SS/SC guys are cool. Some arnt. I put the majority in the nice and cool department but the losers get put the on the ignore list. I've gotten in some deep arguments with some of 'em but it doesnt phase me. Its normal for the faster cars to make fun of the slower cars. It just happens. I know my car is slower, but hell, i dont have a governor or PE delay anymore so that throws that argument out the window. Once i actually get my supercharger setup i'll be damn close/fast as/faster than the stock ss/sc. I got in an argument with my bf over that...2.0l ss/sc vs 2.2l ss/sc Alot of people just dont like copy-cats but some people cant afford that $20k car....

 

extremely gay. i hate 2.2's with the highrise. it looks bad without the ss bodykit. at the drags today i kept asking a kid with a 2.2 with highrise to race me since he felt he had to put the wing on.

 

Perfect example right here. Yes, that body kit with the barely noticeable side skirts and rear end, that really sets the spoiler off.

I bet you felt like a big man knowing your car could beat him. Teach him to put a spoiler on his 2.2!

 

the ss high rise is justa bout nothin more than a ****** visual on the ss or ls/lt's. some like it some dont but if you did pay for the car its on then you really have no room to talk **** bout it. hell i have an lt and im gettin the high rise painted right now to go on my car.. everyone has there own opinion bout everythin in this world but why make a big deal bout not likin somethin that another does like?? jmo

You guys seem to be forgetting the fact that it is pretty darn easy to have the governer removed (of course, it is not wise to do this till after you get your suspension upgraded to an ss/sc or /na package to handle the high speeds). Also, you all say "hey! just sell your ride!" that is not as easy as it sounds, especialy since the entry level chevy's like ours depreciate so ******* fast it's rediculous! I still owe 7k on my car and the dealer will only give me 5! sorry, not happening.Sell it private market you say? Hah! again goodluck with that one too, especialy since the average driver Wants an automatic (my car is a 2.2 manual) and none of their mommies will let them buy a car that even hints at having *****. and the parents that do let their kids get whatever they want. are the rich ***** up in the canyon, and their kids all drive ****** vettes! /rant #1

Anyway, yes, it would be lame to put SS badges on a non ss/sc car. However, I see NO problem at all in putting an SS kit on another model of balt as long as it is done tastefully. The saddest thing about this thread is it makes all the SS/SC owners who have been bashing in here look like civic owners with a superiority complex! Having an SS/SC doesn't make you better than anyone, it just means you had more money available to you when you decided you wanted one of our beloved eco-tecs. So why not use that pent-up energy of yours against a civic? Why a Civic you ask? because youre attitudes' match, and if your going to have that kind of attitude with people within your own community... Than civics are all you deserve to Race against! If it were up to me, that is all you would be allowed to drive too!/rant X2

Anyway, as for the poor guy who started this thread, don't put an SS/SC emblem on your car, it isn't worth it, escpecialy since it labels you as a jackass nowadays let alone anyone with any resemblence of respect or dignity.

 

Wow..... some of us SS/SC owners realy are D-bags....who cares if a person wants to badge an LS as a SS..?? To the original post....if you like it...do it.... I doubt that person even cares to read this far into the post though...what with all the haters on this site....If a chick wants to paint the car pink and add a hood scoop like the other post i saw...go for it..even if it was a guy...who cares??...does it really affect you so much you have to come here and flame???....I for one am glad we all have different ideas about our cars....or should they all be the same color.....same mods, everything the same??.....I dont like the fact that my red SS/SC looks like every other red SS/SC.....if the rest of you dont like what I have done different....fine....but do you really feel a need to be negative about everything??...and then express it here on the forum??..."why cant we all just get along??"
