Now I just put on my SS badge on the trunk but I don't want opinions on that. It's my car and I don't care if a sport isn't an SS anymore or whatever I don't care. But here's the opinions I would like. I want to know what you guys think about me putting the sport badge on the dash like the pictures below? Also now I was thinking maybe my trunk would look nicer without that black cobalt bowtie, and make it plain. However I'm kind of afraid to remove it, cause of the mess left under there from trying to debadge the stock emblem. So I'm not really sure if I want to do that. Also another idea I was thinking was to put an "ecotec 2.4L" badge where the super/turbocharged badge would normally go on a ss/sc/tc that way people know I have a 2.4 SS and I'm not some SS wanna be that isn't super charged or whatever cause us /NA catch a lot of crap for that cause most people don't know there was a 2.4L SS. So I wanna know what you guys think about the sport badge on the dash, should I debadge the black bowtie and try to fix up the paint, and should I put the ecotec 2.4L badge where the super/turbocharged badge would go?

i think the sport badge would look good inside the car, as far as the SS badging, it doesnt make sense you have the sport badging in one spot and the SS badging somewhere else, you need to draw the line and decide if its one or the other(i would go with sport) just because GM threw the ss badging around for a few years doesnt mean we should be.

 

dont put both cobalt and sport on the dash....one or the other

i would say if you have the ss on the outside, I would put the SS on the inside where you are planning on putting the sport badge

 

I agree with glen. Cover up as much of that dash as possible.

 

x2 on the badging why put an SS on the outside and then a Sport on the inside...u can't have both worlds face it ur car isn't a ss just put sport on the outside and inside and yes get rid of the chevy emblem on the back and leave on cobalt "SPORT"

No, that particular part of the trim kit is the entire head unit panel it self (4 panels in total for each part of the dash like stock) it came with black for the air bag strip there was no color choice for that

 

Because I asked for opinions and you guys are just avoiding them and telling me to get rid of the ss. I just want yes or no answers. So far I heard remove cobalt on trim and put sport which actually I think might look even better. Now I would like to know my other questions and exclude the "ss" I want to know if I should remove the black bowtie or not and if i should put ecotec 2.4 or not. I dont wanna hear debadge everything that wasn't my question.

 

pick one or the other man. not both. SS meh, not really a good idea, and too may have said why for me to elaborate, just debadge the outside, and put sport on the dash, take the "cobalt" off the dash as well

ok but again I didn't ask to take my trim off. I refuse, I like it, and I don't like the stock trim. And I don't want to paint my stock trim. To me that's still plain. I like the lightning cause it's got something going on instead of a plain color.

if it helps i just removed my valve cover to get polished. And I'm waiting on MRZ's strut bar to arrive in the mail. Also I'll get springs eventually when I start saving up some money. Spending 2 much and gotta pay off my cc. No tint tho. I also plan to get a STS if that tickles everyones fancy as well.

 

You know, I used to feel a little bit bad for you when you first came on the site and everyone jumped all over you for making stupid threads, but DAMN. I fully understand why you get flamed the way you do.

You need to care less about what others think and make yourself happy. I remember you taking off the gas cap sticker because people made fun of you for it. Now you CONSTANTLY are asking people how to mod your car. Every day you have a new thread up asking "should I do this". You ask for opinions then when people give their opinion you get all butthurt about it.

Think before you post. There WILL be people who think your ideas are stupid, ugly, ricer, etc. There WILL be people that will pick apart something totally unrelated to the question at hand. If you can't or won't deal with that, don't hit the "Submit Post" button.

As for the last part of your post, yes, take off the bowtie and no, don't put the Ecotec 2.4 on it. IIRC a while back someone took some Audi 4.2 badges and rearranged them on the back of their 2.4 so that it just simply said "2.4." If you just have to junk up the car with more badges, that's the route I would recommend.

That's nothing but an excuse. I used to be indecisive, but if you don't grow a set and MAKE yourself decide on ****, you're going to fail at life forever and ever. You can't go through life having other people make your decisions for you - step up and pick what you think you're going to like best and just do it. Might as well start somewhere.

FWIW, this isn't life or death. Pick what you think you would like best, do it, and if you don't like it guess what???? It's just as easy to remove it or change it as it was to do it in the first place.

 

So now if I debadge this bowtie how can I fix it up perfect? I hope I wouldn't have to repaint the section cause there's some pretty bad scratches, and gashes, and goo from the stock badge. I have meigars scratch X & some turtle wax left but will that be enough to fix? I don't have touch up paint either. Hey I never went against anything except the taking the ss off, and my dash trim.

Not trying to sound like a ***** or be one, but I have reasons that's no ones business why I haven't moved out yet. I'm trying to get my life in order first. Trying to go back to college and other stuff that's no ones business. I'm not being an ******* just giving a reason sorta why haven't. I'm sure you can understand though. And it's not that easy.

 

I say DEBADGE EVERYTHING!!!! THE DOORS THE FENDERS THE TRUNK THE DASH...EVERYTHING!!!!! AND FOR CHRISTS SAKE PAINT THE FRIGGIN DASH KIT BLACK OR AT THE VERY LEAST PAINT IT TO MATCH YOUR CAR!!! THAT IS SERIOUSLY THE FUGLIEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN!!!!!
