I wouldn't call you a bitch? And my parents pay for college. They didn't pay for my car though so don't think I'm like spoiled or something.

Ok here is what I would do. Put the Sport Badge on the inside, it looks good, but leave the trunk completely badgeless it looks cleaner that way, and would accent your tails way more that with the badges people will acutally notice the tails. The only other thing I would do, is take the cobalt badging off the dash. Just the "Sport" badge would look cleaner IMHO.

Some ******* will just tear off your SS badges because they'll recoginze your car isn't actually an SS...

Just a heads up.... A lot of people get pissed off about posers.

But of course, do what you want, just understand the above and don't be suprised.

what year is your cobalt? Unless GM put those "SS" badges on there, take em off and stick with "Sport" and be proud of it.
Don't listen to anyone elses **** about the2006-2007 SS/NA should never have got the Super Sport designation. Blah Blah they can take it up with Chevy, It's a Cobalt SS Non supercharged, tough titty
However, chevy redesignated the 2.4l "Sport" in 2008, That's what it is now, so deal with it. Same argument applies in reverse logic as well.

I gotta agree with Alleycat for the most part. More badges just looks ree ree, and everyone else that said that you can either be a plain old SS or a Sport....not both.

sport badge inside is good. Just put mine on the inside. i like it.
I say for the rear.. if you were to put the ecotec 2.4.. you would need the bowtie also. I like the look of both together.

how am I being a poser if there's 2.4 ss's? why can't my car be called ss? seriously the whole logic makes no sense you can call it either or. why can't anyone grasp the fact its 100% identical to a 2007 2.4 ss there's no difference except the name ok so what so why can't I change it back to ss why does anyone even care that its not ss from factory name??? this argument is ridiculous. I can understand if I had an ls then yes these arguments make sense. But not when this identical car USED to be CALLED ss. It NEVER changed in anyway except the name. you guys are so fixed on oh cause its not called ss from factory. WHOOOOO CAAAAAARES???!!! So I want my car to look like a 2007 2.4 SS I don't get why that's such a crime!!!! it looks like an ss/tc without the front lip, gauge pillar, and tubo. It's not a base cobalt. So why can't I call it ss? How is it being a poser? I call it a 2.4 ss not a ss/sc. I don't know why all of you care so much. It's my car, and no one would know the difference unless I told them it's really a 2008 sport. THERE'S NO DIFFERENCE EXCEPT FACTORY NAME CHANGE!! Jeez. If there was significant change like apperance wise or performance then yes all your arguments are valid. BUT IT'S EXACTLY 100% THE SAME AS A 2007 2.4 SS! that's why its so silly that all of you argue against this! it would only be right if there was clearly a major noticable difference between the two but there isn't. Like I said before, if you took a sport and a 07 2.4 ss, debadged both, and removed the registration for both so you don't know the years, you will not know which is which. That is why its so stupid that you all argue about this. THEY'RE THE SAME CARS WITH DIFFERENT NAMES! u can call them either or. /rant

Shave all the badges on the trunk, and quit adding badges on your dash trim. Also, even though your car is nearly identical to an '06/'07 SS, I still feel its kinda dumb having "SS" badges on the exterior at all b/c its technically not an SS.

I love how this guy will make a "what's your opinion on xxxx" thread like daily... get the opinions we've all been giving him for weeks... and then go off when he doesn't hear what he wants.

Dude... it's pretty much unanimous... even if some of us have gotten over the fact you want to call your car an SS (which it isn't)... now you want to have Sport and SS??? Makes no sense whatsoever. Plus that dash kit if fucked up yo!

Dude... CC08.... It's not an SS because General Motors the guys who MAKE THE CAR ended the 2.4 SS and instead called it a sport.

So yes, feel free to call it an SS or whatever you want (even a cavalier by your logic), but most people will see it as being a poser... but it's your choice, all I'm doing it telling you how people will see it....

So I'm not telling you to take it off, I'm just trying to make sure your aware of what it looks like since you seem to care about peoples opinions so much

CC08, it's simple, please do not put any badge with 2 S's in them on your car ever. There is a reason why GM did not make the cobalt LS or LT with SS badges, it's because they are not SS's!!! I belive this thread is pointless and was started by you soully to antagonize people because you get some kind of E-rection on reporting people's posts & getting them banned from the site. So the result of this; I am reporting you!

You can't call some one a poser with the same car! LOL you can only call some one a poser if they put ss on a honda or a ss/sc wing on a honda or any other car. every cobalt each trim is all the same! theyre all cobalts! just with different parts! You can change an LS part for part and make it an ss/sc so there for you can't be a poser with the same car. IF I put super/turbocharged badges on or any performance "stickers" claiming I have them when I don't THAT'S poser. You can kinda call someone with an LS putting SS on their car a poser if they don't at least have the ss front bumper, and you can tell it's an LS. I think If your gonna put SS on it at least make sure it looks like one! My car looks like a SS/TC sedan if I had the front lip. Also SS doesn't mean cause the car is supercharged or else why would they have made the 2.4 SS? It's just a TRIM! Old school SS's didn't have to be supercharged to be a SS. It's just a TRIM. It's certain PARTS that makes it an SS. And I'm about 98% there. If I slapped a turbo or sc on it then it's 100% ss/tc or sc. And I love seeing SS on my car. And I don't want to debadge it cause I mod my car how I like it so I don't have to take anything off unless I'm asking if I should. In this thread I asked what to do to specific things. I got a few answers pertaining to my questions but most telling me to debadge this and that and take off the trim when that's not the questions I asked. I think I got all the answers I needed outta this thread and pretty much /thread now since I got some of my answers. And I'm tired of arguing over my ss badges. I don't know why ANY of you care! At least it looks like an SS! It don't look like an LS SO why is it a HUGE deal?! No one should care it's my car not anyone elses. So can everyone stop calling me fake or poser or it's not an ss or this and that? I'd appreciate it. It's totally stupid. Especially like I said when my car isn't like an LS and at least LOOKS like an SS.... ridiculous... you guys just love to argue... If I wanna put SS on my car then let me. It's my car and I wanted to do it, and I like it. Not my fault I didn't buy a cobalt soon enough before they stopped making SS's.... I wanted an SS/SC. Well actually I went in to buy a malibu but ended up getting the cobalt. When I was searching for a car I would like to buy, the SS/SC was 1 of my choices. I didn't do THAT much research though cause I did it all on the malibu. And when buying the cobalt, the salesman said they didn't make ss's anymore. What did I know about the upcoming SS/TC??? And he didn't say when they stopped so I didn't know if I would of been able to possibly still find a new SS/SC. It's really not my fault. I originally wanted the malibu so I did all the research for that. Am I stupid for not holding off on the buying to research the cobalt first? Maybe. But it was also like the last day of the prez day sale, and I got 2G's taken off. So yeah I wanted an SS, and I didn't get to get one. The sport is the closest to 2007 ss 2.4 cause it practically is just renamed so I don't see why I can't put SS on it. That's what I wanted, and it makes me happy to see SS on it. SO everyone please leave me alone about it already!!!!! /THREAD

By that logic, the Pontiac G5 and Chevrolet Cobalt are the exact same car. In function, yes. But try finding a G5 for as cheap as a cobalt.
you call us silly for arguing that they're any different but GM is the one who did it. We're just pointing out what it is. Go write their customer service an email about what they think you should do. you're going to get pretty much the same answer here.
"you own a 2008 Cobalt Sport not a 2007 Cobalt SS, Do whatever the hell you want to with your car, Quit asking for everyone's opinions if you don't like hearing anything to the contrary of what you think ."
