only thing the 3rd brake light would give you trouble on is inspection.

you can swap trunks though for that.

3rd brake light missing with CF trunk.

It's only been required in every single car since 1991 regardless of what state you live in!

Lick and stick will do the trick

Up here all it has to do is pass the look test, for a lick and stick and you are good to go

You must have some lazy mechanics that don't actually hit the brakes to check for bulbs.

Another reason I got the VIS, wasnt only becouse I like the third brake light, but becouse I heard I needed it to pass inpection.

I think the VIS is the only CF trunk that fits properly. Most others sit high on the left.

Spoke to Dave about the hood ppl are wanting and he said.

"I'll do the hoods for $575 CAD (564.38 USD) shipped, same thing would apply however regarding having 5 buyers for it".

We just tried a CF OEM Hood Group buy on the OCC site.

Grounded Concepts was the company we were using.

there hoods are better IMO. And I owned a Xcelerated OEM hood once. the Grounded hoods edges are not hard cuts but rather wrapped. and the undersides are gloss black finish.

The GB Failed cause we couldnt get the 4-5 ppl required. but I got them down to $475 CDN for the hood. and the trunk is $450

and if you wanta color weave it would be an additional $150 for each part

Those guys are rip off's. I use to live in Nova Scotia (east coast of canada) The army was posting me to the west coast so i had to drive past them. A few days before i left NS i emailed and called them up asking do they have any CF trunks in. They said yes, i said can you put one aside for me ill pick it up in a few days when i drive across canada. They said no problem, we will put your name on it and put it to the side for you. I asked do i have to put a down payment or anything, they said no, just give them a shout when im near by. So the day i left NS i called...confirming they still had it and they did, once again i asked did i need a down payment...nope.

Few days later i was in Ont. Called them up and asked if they still had it, they did, told them ill be there tomorrow morning. They said "cool, the cf trunk is waiting for you". Next day i was about to leave and it was a 30min drive to their shop so i decided to call and let them know im on my way. They tell me they just sold it and they have none left until another 4 weeks. I asked why they sold it on me, they said cuz i didnt put a down payment. Total ******* bs.

Are you sure that's the true story? I can post copies of our email correspondence, since we never actually did communicate over the phone like you claim we did.

Sent you a PM with a copy just to help refresh your memory.

pm received and noted. Do you have copies of the recordings of the conversations on the phone or some way to prove I "didnt call". I called once before I left Nova Scotia and I called once when I was in Niagra Falls. I would still love to hear what "unexpected demand and circumstances can arise" When a customer makes a deal that he is driving 3000km to pick up a product and was told it would be set aside for him then you tell him once he gets in the city it was sold on him...i would really love to hear what that "unexpected demand and circumstances can arise" would be. Did President Bush call up and say "hey i want a CF trunk for my Cobalt and since im the President of the USA i get it before anyone else"? No ******* excuse for making a deal to someone and then selling it on them.

if they told him he didnt have to put a downpayment after he asked and had the bread to do so thats kinda shitty to sell the **** after he drove so far...thats a shitty way to do business.

^^ indeed, however now they are trying to say that convo never took place. Gotta love how how people run their buisness, anything to make a buck.
