See if there are any amature school days those taught me the most, the vidoe's aren't good enough quality for me to give any advice besides asking if you were clipping the edges of the cones through the slalom with your rear tire?

Any idea where to put the go pro next time for a better angle ?
I only hit a cone 1 run which was the fastest time but with the penalty it was the 2nd fastest.
If you only hit one cone the entire time you're not pushing yourself enough, that's how I was my first time the second time I managed to spin out on my first run. You have quite a few runs and your first isn't going to be your fastest so find where the limit is and the second run try to hit those limits without hitting cones.
I agree, you need to push the car harder. Ideally you want to hear the tires a little bit around every turn. Too much chirping is no good.
AutoX and road racing are two different animals but you can take some of the skills you learn from autox with you to road racing. When you autox you have to be more aggressive and take the shortest route possible most of the time. Road racing you need to be very smooth while turning and you need to use up the whole track to be fast. Remember smooth is fast and fast is smooth.
I plan on going to a few track days @ Englishtown Raceway in NJ as soon as the track opens in the spring, they have the amateur school and stuff but thats road racing not auto x. Im sure i will still learn tho no matter what.

Thanks guys, yea it was a bit intimidating going for the first time but i did manage to shave at least 1sec off each run as the day wen on.
The temp was 40* so it was hard to keep the tires warm... And the parking lot was on the beach so it was sandy as hell, by the end of the day it started to get better with the ability to gain some traction.
Every time i tried to give it some gas the tires just spun which was frustrating.

Sounds like our last autocross it was raining and the pavement was so slick for the first session after break it dried up and was better. Two events are held in this parking lot that's sealed every year so it's not too good even in the dry.
Our SCCA autox events are held at Miller Park (Home of the Milwaukee Brewers) so we get monster park lots that are never sealed. When its wet it's slick but nothing like sealed pavement.
We use mainly a RIT parking lot but it's small space (college in Rochester, NY) have 2 at Delphi (sealed and small), had 2 tentatively at an airfield that was a no go and two at Ralph Wilson stadium (Buffalo Bills stadium)
Slide around ALL the corners!

Airfield autox's are very fun. Did one last year with the course in the taxi area and then you did a half mile sprint down the runway.
