Auto-xing the SS
Auto-xing the SS
I was wondering if anyone could tell me which class SCCA put the Cobalts SS/SC model and the base models in?
I've been running DSP with my GTZ and was wondering about stock classes for Cobalts...
Thanks.

the cobalt ss/sc is classed in ds against the bmw 330ci, integra type-r, srt-4, and wrx. first 2 cars are the prominant choice, but i plan on trying my luck in the cobalt next year
the cobalt 2.2 is classed in hs(lowest class which is where i run my current car
) against the unbeatable mini

Yeah, I ran my Cavi RS in H-stock. I want to run my Cobalt SS next weekend SO bad, but it's brand new and probably won't even have 1,000 miles on it yet, so I think I'm going to wait for the next event before I run it. 2 days of fun aren't worth taking a chance of screwing something up, especially considering that I'm still not used to shifting a manual.
yeah my friends that i race with say that i should bring it out asap after i get it but since i plan keeping it for a while (not like them where they bought an 04 sti and traded it in for an 05 sti becuase it had a half inch wider wheel) i plan on babying it for at least a 1000 miles than take it out and see what it does. i figure if i get it in the winter time (off season) than i should be alright not to be tempted to take it out.

Your wise not to auto x it till after the break in period is over, and I would recomend that you even consider waiting a little longer than 1 g.
On the shitfting thing, don't sweat it, you'll only shift twice, your not likely to leave second gear.
