soo i found a thread where these will clear sti brembos with a +27mm offset. thats pretty much the +30 with a 3mm spacer.. i wonder how that would look on a balt with that much offset. and yes, im planning on getting the fenders rolled/ pulled. i might get the rear tires shimmed a little too if i have to.
OP, how much for the shop to custom shim your rear wheels?

1. What offset did you get?
2. What tires you going to run on it?
3. If you don't mind, how much were the rims?
4. Are you going to roll your fenders?
Sorry for stupid questions, I just don't know a ton about wheels and I am trying to learn. This thread has been a huge help so far.

Gonna get a +30 offset with 255/35-17 hankook hs3. They are gonna be right at about $1000 with shipping and center caps. Teamn dynamics wheels like the pic on the first page. Not the lightest wheel in the world but to terrible at 20.9
Lbs. Only thing I coung find in thst size for a reasonable amount of money.
Oh, and as far as rolling the fenders,we'll see after they get here. Shouldn't have to. And I'm on pedders springs also.

I was in the process of ordering my Team Dynamics wheels when Paul from Team Illuminata told me TD had some ones in silver in the exact specs I wanted. So, went with the silver and these should be here soon.
17x9 +30 have some 255/40-17s Hankook R-S3s on order, will probably go with 265s next season casuse that's the max allowed for STX.

Good idea to go with 265s -- particularly since that's about the only advantage you can get as a 2-wheel-drive vehicle.
A couple years ago there was a post in the SCCA magazine that said -- if you're not running at least 285s in DSP, you can't compete successfully. It was kind of a joke, but the point was well taken. A better comment might be -- if you're not doing everything the rules allow in your class, you probably can't compete (at least at the National level). It's a hard lesson, but I'm learning it slowly (as money allows).
If you've done everything, then, and only then, it becomes the driver. Sterling Moss, Dan Gurney, PHil Hill (you pick the driver) can't win in a car that isn't prepared up to spec in a class!

I'm not gonna be fully prepped for a while. I'm gonna try to see what I can do on these Pedders springs this year, before I make the jump to coilovers.
Wheels will be in on friday, fingers crossed for fitment!

I finally made a decision to get 17x9 wheels (going to roll my fenders) , but I don't know what offset to get. The tires I am looking at are 275/40R17 and 275/40ZR17 street tires (extreme and max summer performance) the section with is 10.9. I am leaning towards +25 offset, but if +30 would work I would rather do that. I am guessing +25 offset would put more stress on my bearings? What would you all recommend for the offset to run a 275 tire? +25 or +30?
