Crank Position Sensor Error During Autocross
Crank Position Sensor Error During Autocross
Hello
I just finished racing my Cobalt SS/SC in a local autocross event. On my 4th of 6 runs, the car died and would not restart. We had to push the car off the course. After about 20 minutes of trying to start the car, it finally started (barely). It ran like trash until I drove it to the local autoparts store to borrow their OBD2 scan-tool (where I erased the error code). It told me that the error was a crank position sensor. Has anyone else had a problem with this error during vigorous autocross racing? The manager of the autoparts store said that these sensors can become loose and give an error.
Thanks for any input.
