Front Wheels how wide

Has anyone run wider than a 285 on the front? I am looking at trying from 295 up to 305. Currently I have 285 on 10 in, thinking of trying a 11 in and wider to get more grip out of the front.

It appears the widest I can go without major changes is the 295/30/18. It is just slightly larger than the 285, and I think I can get it to work, I am not sure about the 11 in wheel or if I stay 10 in if it will really be any wider.

To above poster, if you see the red car in the pic then you see a pic with a car already running 285's. I do not need to post pics of them since I am already running them as well as scott.

I was looking to see if anyone was aware of someone at any time running wider tires.

i'm pretty sure you two are the only ones running tires anywhere near that wide at the moment... I'm still trying to figure out how to pull it off with a stock 5x110 hub...

Custom wheels.
Good body shop to allow stock fenders.

I'm a bit cheaper, I use 4 custom wheel adapters, 25mm thick, hub-centric on both sides, with a 5X110 pattern on the hub and a 5X114.3 (5x4.5") pattern on the wheel side. I run AMR Torque Thrust M 10" wide wheels with a +45mm offset. The wheel/tires clear on the inside by about 3/8". I use camber plates to the camber tire-strut clearance stays constant. I did have to make judicious use of a small hammer to bend ther inner wheel wells up a bit.

I've added a photo with 285s on the car.

Scott
