Looking for some beginner advice!

I am thinking about doing Autox this upcoming season and since I have never done it before I was wondering if anyone can give me a few pointers. I want to run in the stock solo series. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

first and foremost always remember its about having fun. dont be discouraged when your times arent even close to being competitive, most of the people out there have been doing it for a long time. slow in fast out, theyll go over that in the novice walkthru. get your own helmet, the loaners they have are pretty nasty. ask for ridealongs and drivealongs with the faster members, you can be amazed at what they can make your car do and they can give you some excellent pointers on how to lower your times. try to get there early and offer assistance setting up the course, you can make friends with the crew that runs the events and get the cushy job assignments.

damn good advice. i agree with all of it. mostly the having fun part!! most of the courses i have done are between 45-75 seconds long and let me tell you, for the short time your out there driving, you will have the craziest adrenalin rush!! by far some of the best times driving my car are when im auto-xing or on a road course
