MFBA Road America Track Day! (Possible Meet?)

Hey everyone, figured I would do a thread for one of my favorite track days. This is a fantastic group, it's who I started with, along with a handful of my friends. They have one of the best Novice programs, unlike some of the groups I've come across.

One year we had four SSs out there, but lately I've been the only one. This is currently the only RA event I'm doing this year, so this would be the event to get some people at.

This year it's May 2-3, a Saturday/Sunday.

**It's only $5 to come and spectate, and you can go for rides. Not all track days allow rides, and getting it to the RA grounds for $5 is awesome.** If you're anywhere within like 3 hours of RA, I would say it's worth coming out. The track is near Elkhart Lake, WI; about an hour north of Milwaukee, or three hours north of Chicago.

Here's the link to sign up and get more info. MFBA Track Days

Track days are expensive, but I feel like they are completely worth the money.

If you have any questions, ask away! This will be my fourth year running with this group, so I know how they run things pretty good.

That's a great price for 2 days of track time too! May see if I can swing this one (doubtful) but would love to do it.

Hmmm, this looks pretty awesome. I've done a track day at the Milwaukee Mile and it was pretty sweet. Road America is even more awesome, and this is actually one of the cheapest options I have seen for getting on track there. Pretty good odds you will see me at this event

Which day were you planning on going?

I might have to bring out the Cobalt for this. Might only be the only time I can get the car on the track this year.

Is that when most people are going to be there, tomorrow? Or is everyone planning on going Sunday?

After seeing it first hand you should have stayed way left coming into Canada and went straight into the kitty litter. You are really lucky to not have more damage then you did. It was nice meeting you and hopefully you come back out soon.

Hey, at least you got video of it. I didn't have my gopro on when it happened to me . Also, good thing you hit a tire wall. Your car would probably have been totaled if it hit a solid part of the wall.

I'm thinking if you would have hit the sand straight on you wouldn't have hit anything, but it is what it is. You made it out relatively unscathed.

Yep, I probably would have been alright. Coming into that corner doing 125+, it was kind of hard to tell if there was enough room/gravel to stop me if I went straight off, so I figured I would use as much tarmac as possible to slow down. I was hoping to keep it on the grass, but to no avail

Yeah, the video really shows how much energy those tires absorbed. If I would have hit the bare wall, I would have been really fawked. lol
