Shoes!!!!!

lol alot of you prolly looked at the title and was like wuhhhh???? but I kinda think about this alot .

well for real , what kind of shoes do most of you wear when you race? and I dont mean at the track..... Here's what I mean , IF i go out to palm for the weekend and I have some spirited driving with friends I grab my converse or my sandals..... mainly because of the thinness of the shoe itself I feel the clutch engage and dont ride it or let it out too early ever and I allways launch well because I feel everything. when I wear my dc's or emerica's or my other skate shoes I cant feel a damn thing and I **** up my **** and ride the clutch or dump too early , anyone else have this problem , if so what shoes do you like to race in?

hell I like to wear my convverse for normal driving just because its just allways easier but I have switching when its time to skate....

ever notice paul walkers converse in F&F ?

anyone ever drive the SS in Timberlands? HA.

I usually just drive in my DC's cause I don't usually carry around my pumas unless I know I'm going to autoX or a race somewhere.

But I have driven in both my steel toes and army issued boots, they both suck lol

I wear my DCs around usually, but if I know im going to do some spirited driving I like my old Nike zoom Air shoes. They are light as hell and easy to feel everything!

Idk maybe mine arent DCs lol been deployed too long to remember, but I wear 10s plus insoles for my huge arch. They are decent for driving and far better than boots. Also not sure if those Pumas are the exact shoes but its pretty close.

Am I the only one who can drive in anything? Shoes make no difference to me, even work boots.

Nope, I drive in whatever I have.

Auto-x/track days are the only exception. I have a nice set of Adidas driving shoes.

Im sure most of us can drive in anything...Some tracks are strict on what you can and cannot where (no big work boots, sandals, high heals, etc...). It helps to have a comfortable shoe that's designed for automotive racing...trust me.

Keep in mind in talking about road course track days

...not 13sec 1/4 runs

The OP said not at the track. Normal driving I wear anything.

Track driving I have the nomex Adidas high tops....I will try and find a picture.

Nah, it's confusing cause the post is in the wrong section, I almost did the same thing and then I re-read it.

Everyday, I wear Adio skate shoes. Perfect for fat footed rev matching.

When I am doing some spirited driving and not alot of walking, I will throw on a pair of Pumas that I bought specifically for driving.

Also, I wear a size 14... it sucks because my feet are too big to do a proper heel toe.

Air Force 1'zzz 3/4 tops. I got size 13 feet so if i have my work boots on I have to pay a lot of attention to what I'm doing or I will smash the brake with the gas.
