I just got off the phone w/ my contact at GINGERMAN RACEWAY
We need to book the track during the week (mon-thurs)..... from a cost standpoint
I want to make this day for 20 cars only!!!! I don't want a crazy day.... I want it to be fun and not be crowded !

We are looking at $175 per car w/ a 20 car min/max..... I don't care how many people drive those 20 cars.

We would have the track from 8am - 4 or 5pm..... we'll run both directions to keep tire wear even.... We'll need to work our own corners (everyone must work)..... there will be no ambulance.
I will be happy to provide instruction to any novices (I am a skip barber race school graduate), any stupid driving will result in a warning the 1st time, 2nd time you're out..... NO BS!!!!

OK... who is in????? they can be a cobalt club member.... or one of your buddies?
I don't care what cars show. There will be a tech inspection. I would like someone else w/ track experience to help me make this a fun/safe event!

Track days are a blast. if i lived in your area i would be down.

 

I would love to... but how far into the future are you looking at? If it's like April, I should be able to pony up the dough.

 

march is probably too cold for the tires....
april/may would be ideal for a 1st event!

 

I'd like to go but being that you are planning the meet during the week I'd need some advance notice to get the time off work.

1st event would be April or May 2007

The only way I have a chance of making it out is if it isn't in the first 7 or 8 days of the month. I have month end close to worry about at work and there is not a chance in hell they'll let me bail out to go to the track. But if the track day is later in the month count me in as long as I can get the day off.

 

I see how it is, you put him on the list but not me? I'll have to find someone to take out my frustrations with you on. lol

This could end up being a lot of fun, except I know my car is going ot be dirven into the ground and just begging for some rest. 20 cars, you can almost run non stop!

 

yeppers... thats the point of only having 20 cars!!! I only run 8-12 laps continous, so I don't chunk the crap out of the tires..... been there done that ... I had large chunks of rubber in my rain grooves after I ran 2 dozen HARD non-stop laps Not good!!!
