Hey

I am kind of getting into all these GP and stuff now.... I have had to wait until I know that I was gonna have enough money left over (or saved up) so I can get the tires/rims and pay for my laser eye surgery (which is in 4 days)...

I want to get a alarm/starter combo as well.. But for now the safety of my car's handling is far more important then a warm warm car at 3am...

So I hope its not to late to get into a good priced set... I have the money to put up front now and hopefully I can pick up a set ASAP.. I want to get them on before the winter starts blowing that crazy white stuff they call snow...

I am in the Durham Region so anything in the area will be good.. I travel into Ottawa as well, but the problem is I drive a transport so trying to get to places isn't always do-able...

Anyone who can help me out would be great.

I bought rims and tires at Menco's on Simcoe south of bloor. The guy just picked up a rim that'll work. The first 16" rim did not fit. I got Viking Snowtech's and rims for 800 bucks plus tax. The tires are rated 2nd best to X-ice by consumer reports. A friend of mine went to Randy at Oshawa Tire. He picked up a nice set for 960 i believe. The tires were BF Goodridge I believe.

The rims are real close to the calipers though. Kinda scary.
