Hey everybody, my name's Alex. I am about to be the owner of a new cobalt ss/sc ! I was curious as to if there were any meetings or anything official in Toronto.

 

The owners from the toronto area get together every few months. The next one is January 15th. We are leaning towards a go-kart event/shoot some pool. Check the thread in the Canadian Section.

What colour, options, etc you got?

 

It's arrival blue, with sunroof. No mods yet other than a set of snow tires. In the spring I'm going to clean up the rear end and get rid of the bowtie and "cobalt" and get 20% tint on all the windows. I'm also thinking about the gm Stage kits but we'll see how much GM wants for them before I make that decision.

Just out of curiosity does anybody know of any SS/SC's in canada with the G85 package. My dealer said Canada doesn't get any but I don't know if I believe him.

 

You can get the g85 in Canada. Ang who posts as 2006ArrivalBlueSS has the package on his car. Your dealer sounds like mine and doesn't know what he's talking about.

2006ArrivalBlueSS - Is that your old Black Z-24 in your pics section. I traded up from one of those as well. The damn transmission went so I didn't have the opportunity to wait for a G85. So I got the Arrival blue with black on black interior, I still kind of have a soft spot for the old black z24 though I loved that car.

 

How many people have the SS/sc in the GTA anyway, I've only seen one other one on the road

 

Well being in Waterloo you aren't really IN the GTA so that my be why you don't see many. There are LOTS around, I think i live in cobalt central, on any given weekday within a 10 block radius there are 2 red '05 SS's, 2 yellow '05 SS's, 1 black '05 SS, and 1 red '06 SS. There is also 1 maybe 2 blue '05 SS's somewhere in town also.

 

Im the other red 05 SS in that 10 block radius and there is a black one near my house aswell. You see them but not like honda civics, those things are like nipples everybodys got em.

 

Yeah I'm definitely not in the GTA, but I'm always up for a drive if there is a meet in the GTA.

the dealer was probobly confused because there were no 2005 G85 in Canada ...2006 it is an option

 

yeah I even mentioned that to him but there definitely weren't any in my area as I went to every dealership within an hour and a half drive, but my old car had died and I only had one day of vacation to buy the new one. I don't care much for the recaros but the limited slip would be nice

Yeah I would have really liked to keep the old "two four" that car was so much fun and after driving it for 4 years I swear I still think I could beat my SS/SC to the top of first.
