Hey guys!

I realize you've chosen your tires already and am certainly not trying to change your mind or 'butt in'. I simply have a question for ya:

Has anyone looked into the Blizzak LM25 ? The reason I ask is I plan on buying them (yes more expensive at $238/tire) and wonder what you thought of them ... from the research I've done they are the best winter performance tire on the market - although pricey.

what do you think?

the LM25's are obsolete and out of production. they were replaced with the Revo 1. but if you find the LM25 from some one who still as stock, they're a good tire.
a set of Revo 1's will run you $1075 tax in.

personally i'd rather go with a performance winter so that i get better wet/dry traction and still very good snow and Ice

Who told you they were out of production? I've spoken to more than one dealer and a few stores (even car stereo stores!) and they have no problem either getting them or having them in stock. And they are all charging the same, $238/tire installed.

The Revo doesn't even compare to the LM-25 ! The LM-25 has a V rating, the Revo only QR, so as for a performance tire, LM is the way to go! Better handling on wet/dry since it's made with a high silica content and also rounder on the edges. If you live somewhere where there's tons of snow most of the time, go with the Revo, otherwise, if you live in the city and get more slush and crap than heavy snow, go with the LM-25. I'm not a know-it all, but do know a lot about tires! Choice is up to you of course.

Oh, and those Dunlops, they aren't as good on ice as the Blizzaks, any Blizzak. Ask anyone who's tried both and they won't go back to Dunlop!

If I'm missing something here, fill me in!
I still haven't bought mine, but want to place an order this week.
I had the Micheline X-Ice before and found them absolute crap.
I had Blizzaks before that on my old GT and really liked them, although they weren't performance.

And these Revo's are NOT performance tires, do some more research before you buy them if that's what your looking for!

Have anyone of you got actual confimation for the M3's???

What other tire would be a good choice for replacing the M3 (Eagle Ultragrip, Michelin Pilot PA2, other??) in 205/60R16 with an H or better speed code?
My dealer spoke to the tire guy on the phone this morning and I can get the Dunlop M3's in 3 days. Would you like me to find out where he's getting them from, and you can order from there as well? I'm getting 205/60/16 if I choose the Dunlop ($166 ea installed), and 205/55/16 if I get the Blizzak LM-25 ($238 ea installed) which I probably will.

Last we 'spoke' I was going to get my tires from the dealer - but now...

I've ordered my LM-25's from Dan's Automotive - his own little shop. Dan's awesome. My step-dad deals with him and he is VERY picky about his cars. Dan's phone number is : 613-820-8903. I'm getting my tires from him $215 cheaper than the dealer, at $882 taxes incl. if you need rims, his are $89 ea, and installation is free. He can get them in three days also. Total price for rims/tires would be $1290.

As for the M3's, ask him how much as I'm sure he's cheaper than the price I gave you from my dealer.

Good luck, let me know what ya get!
