well they gave me $15,000 for the cobalt and the 2005 350z had 21,294 miles which works to to be 32,000kms there were asking 31,199 and i got it for $30,000 but with cobalt the trade i still owned money on that which was $3000.00 so i payed 33,000 plust tax

unless your car was beat to ****, you should have been able to negotiate the extra 3,000 for it, or had 3,000 knocked off the price... you can get a brand new 350z for 30,000...

I just put in 15000 CAN into an exhange calculator and it came up with 13,106.1 USD. It shows that the CAN dollar is 0.873743 compared to the USD which is 1. Source: http://www.x-rates.com/

1 Canadian dollar = 0.881057269 U.S. dollars

so, that means you got 13,215 american for your cobalt... that's rediculously low... what does that have to do with me being american again?

I am and I have to agree you got HOSED! you paid 18000 (30000-15000+3000) for a car you could have bought off the autotrader without making a deal for under 29000 without haggling.

That means if you were patient you could have bought for 26000 and got 16 to 17000 for your SS if it were NA and 19000 if it was SC. You should have paid no more than 13000. that is $5000Canadian in your pocket. If it was an SC then it could have been 10000. It is a nice car though.
