Title says it all, looking for an experienced tuner to tune my ss/tc.
From searching on this site, it seems that ssKev/OntarioKev is the way to go.
Does anyone have his contact info or know if hes still available?


my only alternative right now is a place called brtuning in AJAX but I don't know how much experience they have with LNF's.

What is the rough estimate for horsepower?
I have charge pipes, k&n sri, zzp catless downpipe (not yet installed) and then the HP tune.

I am in need of a retune from Kevin myself. A few other members have said they would be interested too. I have been wanting to get a list of people ready to tune with Kevin going so we can all go on a single day and make good use of his time. I guess it's time I put this list together

I posted up on a few cobalt facebook pages asking for people interested to contact me, I sent Kevin an email tonight asking about his availability for tuning in August. That will give you time to finish up and mods you need to do. I need to clean my k&n, change my plugs, install my mounts on my car and an oil change
SSKev tuned me a few years ago, I have zzp catted down pipe, charge pipes, muffler delete, intercooler and the k&n intake I asked for a conservative tune around 22psi and I got 312HP/345TQ and I have put on about 50K with this tune, it's driven daily usually all summer. I would recommend you put some new plugs in too if you haven't already this year.

 

what plugs are recommended? im available to tune whenever, just need a about a day to get downpipe installed. let me know if you hear back from him. Any idea what the rate for a tune is?

 

Most people will say to stay with the stock AC Delo and gap to .32 I have NGK Iridium plugs gapped to that. I'll let you know more when I hear back from Kevin. I also sent you a private msg about pricing

I don't have anyone I know of first hand, there is a shop in Milton that tunes but I don't know if they have worked on any lnf cars. I have faith that SSKev will come thru for us. It's a long weekend I may not get an answer until early next week

 

Count me in. I don't drive the cobalt anymore but I have a Solstice gxp that I want keV to tune . When I talked to him earlier this summer he said Sundays were the best day for him because it was the easiest day to get the dyno.

k&n intake, turbo xs charge pipes with bov, zzp catless dp (yet to be installed) and maybe 3 bar map sensors (seems like these are needed).

I don't know that the 3 bar sensors are required, probably more accurate with higher boost pressures but the stock ones should do fine.

 

2007 Solstice gxp
The only thing that would matter for the tune is a solo high flow cat and solo Mach cat back. May get charge pipes in the future but that are currently oos.

I need to get my downpipe installed, but want to wait until we are close to the tune date so my car doesn't run like poop. I also want to decide whether or not I should buy the Map Sensors (anyone know where to get these for a good price?). So:
