Manitoba SS 2013
Not sure if arguing or being Jon.
Nt555's are great, Discounttiredirect.com is the cheapest price i have found (back in the day)
Also, S-drives if you put on big boy pants and want big boy tires.
S-drives are by far the best streetable tire, aside from the expensive star specs.

I was just trying to explain my reasoning to Jon. He seems convinced that just wear rating will determine level of grip.
And thanks for the Discount Tire info. It's slightly cheaper than the price I found on Summit.

But according to you Continental doesn't build tires for them anymore. So that argument is invalid.
Also if their tires is as good or better as a big name brand why don't they charge more for it? You get what you pay for. There is a place for budget tires and I don't think it's on my car or for anyone looking for performance.

They made tires for Continental - Tires left their plant with the Continental name, and adhering to their stringent quality standards.
It's your call, but from my observations any company starting out or ttrying to get market share generally needs to start out by undercutting competition to get a name for yourself before you can charge top dollar...
Considering what I read on the company, and the apparent fact tgat they have good market share in Australia, and the UK, in addition to them starting out as a product line starting in '05 - This is a chance I'm willing to take.
but the tread rating will play into it, as it's likely indicative as to the rubber compound used in the tire - the "grip" will be a factor of the rubber compound as well as the tread design/depth.
So are you defending Conti Jon?
More like even if there is no snow what are the chances of you putting them on in 2 weeks and us getting another blizzard or two. Very good. Happens to me every year lol.
It's true. If I could find a cheap set of TC wheels I would probably scoop em up and powdercoat them for something different and better.
