Have any of you guys/girls played Live For Speed? Wow I just started playing the online demo of this racing simulator and it puts Forza 2 to absolute shame, limited to only a few cars, but it's like driving a real car. Check it out www.lfs.net I cannot stop playing this game, it's amazing

getting us all together is only safe if we are parked. As soon as we try to cruise with more than 3 cars we end up cutting people off, getting stuck in huge traffic, almost getting hit by busses and of course ending up on some dirt back lane with monster potholes.
We tried to cruise with 5 and it was a bad idea. We do best at sitting, making fun of other cars and eating A&W. Which I am down for this weekend.

I like a nice drive with a destination for some GOOD FOOD or Beer. Gaffers outside lounge over looking the locks at Lockport.
A&W is my last choice LOL but I will go and **** off staff. LOL
If you really want A&W as a final idea then I would suggest going from there after eating to Pony Coral to make a real known presence for a beer.
Decision has been made for tires. I will get some good 18' then will get two 17" stock rims with 245/45r17 DR's on it. any other better ideas?
and found this juicy clip. WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE but it is real?!

Hi there, back from the dead (or clear lake actually). I'll be out Sunday at around 11:30 as usual after you are all tucked in bed.
My few cents on the red line thing:
You are still stock Jeff, and your redline is 500 RPM lower than the warrantied Stage 2 from GM, so if I were you Id feel comfortable the internals can handle it. Powerband is from somewhere around 3,000 to 6,000 (ISH) so shifting to keep it in there seems to work best, IMO.
Also, if I am going a few blocks at 60kph, I go in 5th for gas savings, but as soon as I need the gas, it's in 3rd, cause the boost kills the gas mileage that low in 5th, IMO.

By and chance does anybody know a guy that drives a white 97-01 prelude (pretty sure it was an SH), with a black hood? The guy looked to be East indian or something similar.

I was driving down st marys at about 3am(could have been st annes, I always get the 2 mixed up) past St vital center. Im heading out to the perimeter, and this guy is tailing me for a bit. We finally get past the few cars that were out there, and I pull into the right lane, and as soon as I do I hear him hammer it, So I did as well. I started when he was pretty much at my back bumper, and by the time it was over(when I hit 4th) he was about a car behind.
So we keep driving Im in the left lane now, and hes about a car and a half behind me. Then I see there's this car just stopped in the left lane, So i slow down a bit and go in the right lane to pass the car. I then notice the car is just waiting for a raccoon to cross the road.lol. So I go past them in the right lane and the guy in the Prelude is still right behind me. As soon as he gets past the stopped car/raccoon he jumps into the left lane and speeds past me a little. So hes about a half car in front, and I see his ass end drop a little and he just gives it. I was waiting for him to do that so I was quick on the draw. As im topping out second gear he's basically at my back bumper again, maybe a little more cause I could see his front end in my rear view. Then out of nowhere his car gets REAL loud! I look in my rear view again and all I see is a shitload of white smoke behind his car. Then all of a sudden I see his car slowly disappear from my rear view, at that point Im expecting him to just blow right past me, but he didnt! He got to about my door, but that's as close as it got. As I was getting higher in the RPM(7K) I was SLOWLY inching away. He slowed down real quick and I wanted to talk to him, So I slowed down too, but the guy just turned off.
So what would cause a car to blow out a shitload of white smoke from the exhaust, and not lose power? You would obviously lose power with a cracked head/blown gasket, would you not? I understand the guy could have been playing with me the first time, but that doesnt explain all the white smoke/louder car in the 2nd race.
Hope that made sence.. Im very hungover and in no mood to proof read

Don't know all that much about engines, but I do know that smoke is rarely (if ever) a good thing. Strange that he didn't lose power. Only thing I can think of that would make him louder is maybe one of those electronic exhaust bypass thingers, but that wouldn't cause excess smoke....
Who knows.
Who knows.

Has anyone decided a time or place for a drive out to compact races at gimli. Even though I know most of you will sleep right through it.
