Thanks JP and Andrew! I repped you for honesty, and the compliment!
That's one of the few shots I actually liked. The trees even added to the whole shot as a whole, it turned out quite nice.
Then this one.. the camera was set for night shot, so it snapped a bunch of shots really quickly with no flash to try to get a good variation on light levels. During that time, Tamara walked into the scene, leaned against the car, and walked back out. That's where the silhouette comes form.

Gimili Raceway lapping sessions is available to nonmembers for $50 or free if your a corner marshall for the day. You need a helmet that is Snell 95 at least. Snell 98 is acceptable. The only problem is that there is a chance that there is no lapping session due to extended time needed for that days racing. I will be finding out the time the race is usually ended and I think it would be best to be there approx. 30-60min.'s before that time.
Come on out and join me in day at the track to have fun running your like it was designed to do. just so you know a Superbike (road racer or crotch rocket) with an expert driver can complete the course in just under a minute on a good day on a 600cc sportbike. I would expect your times to be somewhat more but for 5 laps that is more than 5 minutes and close to 7-8 mins likely per session.
I want to ask the following.
- when does racing usually end?
- how many lapping sessions would a particpent get for his/her $50?
Do you have guestions you would like me to ask?

Lapping Sessions at GMP Guidelines
The goal of lapping sessions at GMP is to provide the workers and anybody else an opportunity to enjoy a few quick laps in a safe and controlled environment. To meet this goal we have come up with a few simple guidelines to make the experience enjoyable. These guidelines apply to all types of cars and drivers.
Before lapping can start we have to ensure that we have workers with radios in the “W’s” and a the front gate. A flagman is also required at the entrance to corner 1. Lapping participants may be asked to rotate through these worker positions.
All drivers and passengers need SNELL 95M or better helmets.
No convertibles unless they have a rollbar or factory installed rollover protection.
Maximum of five cars will be allowed on the track at one time. We will try to grid them from fastest to slowest.
A lapping session wil consist of three green flag laps, a white flag lap, and a checkered flag cool down lap.
There should be at least a three second gap between cars with NO PASSING except on the front straight as outlined in points 7,8, and 9.
Passes on the front straight should be completed before reaching the drag tower.
The car being passed should point to the side they would like to be passed on and maintain their own line until the pass is completed. If necessary, slow down to allow the pass to be completed. THIS IS NOT A RACE.
If the slow car does not hand signal for a pass, the following car must maintain their position. Positions can be reversed during the next session. THIS IS NOT A RACE.
The organizer reserves the right to ban anybody from participating in the event of unsafe behaviour or equipment without appeal.
Payment structure:
a. Race volunteers or event entrants are free. Volunteers are given priority at all times.
b. Walk up members, $20.00 (please come out and marshall!)
c. Non-members are $50.00
Lapping will start as soon as organizers are prepared to begin after the race day. In the event that the race day goes beyond regular scheduling, organizers have the right to cancel lapping sessions.
Waiver must be signed and wristband present. No lapping will be allowed without a wristband.
Vehicle and safety tech are required and are the responsibility of the driver.
