man for so many guys going out (me included), it is really pitiful for how many actually went. even more pitiful as to seeing very little in the way of times. I was excited to get home and check out how everyone did and times.
So how many guys went out?
Please share stories.....
What kind of times did you guys get?
Saw a black SS tonite. No tints, full badging, looked stock everything, plate # was EEZ 689. Hispano, have you ever followed this guy? found on Lagimodiere. I went fishing but he did not bite,,, at all....LOL. guess he knew the outcome of such a thing. BUt I ran into a certain yellow CORVETTE Hispano.....LOL. guess whose jaw fell to the floor boards?

Kenny was running 42 pounders, custom tune, meth injection and at least a stage 2 pulley.
Maj ran low 15s today (stock) and it was his first day at a track. Hispano ran anywhere from 20 to 14.7 depending on the whim of the gods, and I ran a 14.79 on my first run ever, and that was my best time for the day lol. Trap speeds, I think we all hit around 95-99. Reaction times were all over the map for all of us with all of us hitting anywhere from 0.5 to 2.5 and up. Ryan and I were especially happy to just have fun with the cars, and we learned a lot.
We had fun, and I BBQ'd my face and neck. Who knew we were getting that much sun lol.
An official suggested that if we can actually get a large group of Balts they may consider a Cobalt Day with prizes etc. If we can't get the numbers, he suggested a "GM" day.
Highlight for me was watching a 6.75@199 run. Followed closely by Dayne almost puking when the "hot" Hooters girl showed off her legs...
I can't resist: "what's the matter Dayne, were you yellow?" j/k though bud. Next time when you have the full day you'll have more time to ease into it.
All in all - addicting.
.............or get it re-coated

Well, I was excited to get home and post up my times, but then I decided to spend the evening at A&W with Dane and Andrew, then the night hanging out with Dane and playing some Forza 2.
Now that it's clearly FAR past sleepy time.. here's my news!
The turn out could have been better. Of the morning crew, there was myself and Andrew at Perkins in the morning, then we met Juan and Courtney at the track just before 10:30. Dane showed up around 1:30~2ish, and that was it. Where the hell were the rest of you?
Overall, I had a great time! As I said before I was hoping to get something between 15.1 and 16.0, which I did consistantly run throughout the day, so I'm happy about that. Sadly, I didn't break into the 14s, but then again it was my first day at the track and there is lots to learn.
So here we go!
Best run: reaction 0.8830s, 60ft 2.4388s, 1/4 mile 15.1251s @ 96.98mph
Worst run: reaction 0.9941s, 60ft 2.6548s, 1/4 mile 15.5549s @ 96.35mph
Out of 8 total runs for the day, my times were (from first to last):
15.4609s, 15.1689s, 15.5549s, 15.4691s, 15.3000s, 15.1251s, 15.2741s, 15.1290s
I'm happy that I was able to keep my times fairly close, however my reaction time is really what I need to work on. My best reaction for the day was 0.7100s, which was my 15.16 time. Other then that I was around .95 for most of my runs (pretty suck...)
And, because I LOVE writing very long posts, here are my bests for the day (from all runs):
Best react: 0.7100s
Best 60 ft: 2.4320s
Best 330 ft: 6.5929s
Best 594 ft: 9.2958s
Best 1/8: 9.8891s @ 76.03mph
Best 1000 ft: 12.7350s
Best 1/4: 15.1251s @ 96.98mph
And now I go to sleep! I have the day off work tomorrow, so I'll see if I can get the videos and pictures up during the day some time.
P.S. MORE OF YOU SHOULD HAVE COME DAMNIT! WAY TO DITCH!

Good stuff sounds like you had fun Maj, and don't worry about the reaction time, it doesn't affect your time at all, work on the 60ft's for next time and you're set.

ohh if you just going to through out the HEATON then just give it to me. consider it rent for the stock downpipe.....LOL.

The GM Day would be awesome as long as it does not create stupid competition. I do like competing but restpect must come with competition too, like pablo has. I know he whole heartedly would like to see us run close to him. he wouldn't want us to beat him but he would respect us for it as much as he respects us now.

Maj just looking at your times your car can do 14 seconds. I can tell buy your 60's. 0.1sec in 60's translates up to 0.2 to 0.4 seconds in a 1/4. ie you can see that in your best and worst run. instead of 2.4338 if you managed 2.25 (which has been done) and put good run together with it you would see 14's for sure. with that you could get below 14.5! work on the 60' everything else looks good from your times.
LOL......speaking of long posts.........

Rofl, I don't often get to look at my own ass....
Btw, I'm working on the videos right now. I'm just testing different ways of getting the raw footage on my computer, trying to find the best possible quality.
