The same goes for civic SI if modded. Really now, who mods a new civic si? A fast RSX-S is fairly common. A modded newish model civic si is pretty rare.
i can test to this statement, from 60 me and foijin ran pretty much neck to neck up till abourt 150-160 and then he would just walk away and i couldnt come near him. his car is a monster at higher speeds and all around in general !

show me somewhere where the new civic si comes with the k20? why would you buy a civic instead of buying the rsx?
lolz , i went from slidding into 5 and slipped it into 3 with a full car racing a z24 ....car screamed and convulsed horribly ...good times

funny thing is, since i bought the car I always think 1st is 3rd. I teach stef to drive and she always thinks 5th is 3rd (couldnt figure out why cra bogged so much when she shifted to 3rd for quite some time).
also lost to Jeff with his (edit: old) 2.4 and JP's 2.4
traction......it's what moves you, lol
For those that think the clutch is slipping, I don't think it is, I think you are getting wheel spin instead. I've smelt my clutch burn, and it staaaaaaanks. But watching at the track and on the street, all the SC cars spin tires like crazy all the time. I also got rid of my high range hesitation with my new intake :-)
PS: Shifting like Wes FTMFW
Interesting....... http://video.google.ca/videoplay?doc...O46y-wG84eWVDA
Great! Scared everyone away! LOL....night....

As another mutation of the Honda's K-Series engine family, the new car's engine is an all-aluminum 2.0-liter with double overhead cams, 16 valves and four cylinders. It shares a basic architecture, an 11-to-1 compression ratio and Honda's i-VTEC valve-control system with the 2.0-liter that's been powering the Acura RSX Type-S since 2001, but a balance shaft for additional smoothness and throttle-by-wire are unique to the Si's engine.

My guess why people buy the civic over an rsx-s is because either the rsx is no longer made or because when it was available it was too much money?

Launching a stock ss/sc = not easy....
Launching a SI with so little torque = much easier...
The solution... Stage 2,
Even with a bad launch you'll catch up and overtake no problem. (and i'm joking, although it's true. traction mods would be the real solution, not adding power. or if you're like me and you don't listen you can get stage 2 and intake and exhaust and complain about not being able to launch lol)

There are even SS/NA's that hold off SS/SC's until 3rd gear because they get good launches. And nothing hurts a ss/sc harder than getting beat by a ss/na
JP you and I should race for fun, i bet you'd still take me off the line, you seem pretty good at launching. then we can post it up in the 2.4 section and get all those guys riled up lol.
Title "SS/NA smokes Stage 2"
and what i mean by the 2.4 section is the ss/sc guys who lurk in there ready to pounce when their superiority is called into question lol
