youth? i dont see that, getting out of a lease that will knowenly (SP) **** me in the end and getting into a finance, where i am getting a good deal on, leaves me with alot of open ends...if i have to..i can sell it..

its not really that big of a deal, i am just concerned on getting out of my lease for financle reasonings, i love my car to pieces and will hate to see it go (maybe even shed a tear) but i have to inorder to secure my financle future

resale on those is a VERY hard market, and again servicing one of those would be WAY more then a 350

and i honestly dont think i am ready for something with that much horsepower..as a daily driver..

Well Projekt, congrats on finding a good deal on that 350Z. As far as turning those higher numbers into street cred, I don't think anyone here will submit to it so easily, not after seeing the NISMO do an "EPIC FAIL" at the track last year over and over. But my wife is jealous - she loves the way it looks, no doubt.

Some advice I'd have is to look into how much it would cost to get extra warranty or a service contract with Nissan, seeing as how it is a used sports car ('nuff said). Post pics when you have a chance, eh? Oh, and the guy you know at the Mitsu dealer, is his mother a Jodie Pile that works at the RCMP? If so, I work with her :-) .

my boss has an m35x ... (automatic all wheel drive)... its decently fast but I think the auto kills alot of its power.. so definitely G35 would be better with rwd and manual.. 350Z.. well it looks nice but never rode in one

and my boss imported it from the US, (used) and it was wayyyy cheaper.

Glad to hear you did so. Your still #1 in my books. A quick question for you if you have time. A friend of mine got his stage 2 from you and had it installed at the same dealership I had mine installed at. We both have 2006 SS/SCs. After his install, his redline is still 6450rpm. The dealership and GM techline in Canada verified that the flash installed is indeed stage 2, and his car runs fine - but the redline on mine is 7200 and his is still 6450. Any ideas? The dealership here is assuming that GM updated the stage 2 flash and lowered the redline back to stock.

It sounds like the flash didn’t take, I have heard of others with that problem and it turned out to be a bad flash. I would ask the dealer nicely if they could call GM Tech div and see if they can reflash it again.

Thanks

Tom

It'll get fixed one way or another. We all know the redline is 7200RPM. Even if it takes a complaint call to GM Canada Customer Service, this will get sorted out in the end. Might just take some time.

Maj it is actually 7000 RPM. your motor hits 7200 for overrun when bouncing of the rev limiter. dont do that anymore.....

Seriously it is 7000RPM though. I have the files with HPT'ers

well I dont know about servicing at all. but performance wise........I would take one. RWD = better starts. I have been up against one stock and it blew me out of the water. in a roll yeah it will be closer and GMS2 might be quicker. when you kept up to a 350z with a roll or beat it , do you know if it was an auto jeff? that would impact. but all in all having rwd and ability to drift it and so on..... I would get one, after researching servicing needs. But I plan on getting a JEEP then a bike or snowmobile.

pff... 7000... 7200... same diff!
I don't bounce off the limiter... often...
I've always found the RPM guage to be quite inacurate actually.... even on shifts that don't bounce it goes past the 7000 mark.
