yah but a 20K g35 coupe would be 467/mth at 7% interest over 5 years...

i leased my car for 20K and my payment in 266.. and then the buyout in 4 year is x amount which works out to the same thing as financing only i hold onto more of my money before i have to spent it

so lease is good because you trade a lower payment now for a higher one in the future when maybe it is more affordible to you.. and your buyout amount remains in your pocket earning interest until the buyout date..

it's all on the "spin" the dealers put on it.. but i do this crap for a living because i'm a financial analyst

technicaly finacing and leasing are both the same thing, just different ways of "financing"

i agree, people who say "leasing is stupid cuz u dont own anything at the end" are ******* retards, a lease and a purchase finance are pretty much the exact same thing, just worded with different terms.

but what i was mentioning to brian was to make his car make him money, yes it is a extremely hard task to make vehicles make you money, but it can be done..

lets say he purchases a 18,000 g35 mint everything..brings it up here for 21,000 total. he is now driving a car that costed him 21,000 dollars but is worth roughly 25,000 dollars up here..so he drives it for a bit (making his payments on the loan he had to withdraw of course) then flips it, pays off his loan (wouldnt pay much interest if he words his loan right) and thus makes the profit. rinse and repeat

yah my brother does that it works great.. but be careful because if you flip more than 5 in a year they will consider you a home business and require you to register and pay fees and all that crap which is why my brother now runs a home business lol.

you can buy cars at auctions here and flip them quickly also.. there is a good market for any forced induction car. we bought a plymouth lazer and a mx-6 turbo for around 3K each and sold them for 5k each.. and if you are willing to open a small business and pay the fees to register you can access the auctions not open to the public

its 20000 times (1 + .07) to the power of 5... compound interest (.07=7 %.. power of 5 = 5 years)

if you have excel type in =20000*((1+0.07)^5)

divide that by 60 months.. equals 467..

edit: thats the standard base amount to work with.. if you change the payment frequency to bi-weekly, weekly etc..., or the payment amount as in the payment blend (principal vs interest) and you get different monthly payments. in other words.. it would be no more than 467 but could be less

hey corey ...that turn signal design we were talking about, i'm going to have to change it a littel bit. im thinking of running the full size bulb for the turn signal and not the peunut bulb i thought origainaly. can you make a housing to fit the big amber bulb to fit in that location as well? is it possible to squeez it above everything else so not to lose any of the o.e.m housing? let me know your thoughts on it.

Hey Jeff, those shots look really nice so far. You mentioned in that text that the color looks off... I'm not familure with those projectors but you can fool around with the spacing of the bulb to cutoff as well as cutoff to lens. Also in some projectors you can bend the cutoff shield to make it sharper...

I am actually sticking the stock DRL/turn bulb in that custom turn signal I am doing as well, and the only way I could make it fit (you also want access to the bulb from the back of the housing to change if it burns out...) is to cut a hole in the back of the housing and mount a tube in it with the stock bulb holder mounted at the other end of the tube... and have this tube lead into the turn signal on the bezel area. If I'm not making sense I can take a pic and explain more.

Let me know what you thoughts are about that.

edit. yes, nice vette

if you can do a pic that would be awsome. i was thinking of just moving the slot over and cutting a new hole for it and notch so the bulb will just turn into it. and basivally get that asembly to mount over top of the opening...if that makes any sense ? lol

i got the high beam lense mounted with all the aimer's as well and got it shapped in pretty good . thought i took a pic but didnt lol. the light is just about done .all i need to do is make a harness( looks over there....**** ! i dont have any more lol ) to work everything. the only ones i have right now are my current ones and i dont feel like cutting those up just yet. i'll have to wait till i get some more. there pretty readily available in my line of work hahahahaha

well all i gotta really do is wire them up and aim them better then they will be done and waiting on turn signals.ohh yah and make a backing plate for behind the projector.thanks for the knowledge today

muwahaha I have all the harnesses... jeff you fool!! lol j/k

p.s. good night all
