I'm asking this because I haven't been here long enough to have noticed - but has anyone checked how aggressive the Stage3 tune is?
I know this was a setup that more or less made your car exempt from warranty... and from the writeup (HERE) I'm guessing it is fairly aggressive to begin with...

Good stuff. I am also looking into ordering a zzp intake pipe and replacing that shitty thing called a dejon intake.
However, i need to do rear brakes, Drive to calgary next weekend and possibly pick up HPT.

Also negates the fact of using a/c.

and the upsides of the Trifecta version are;
- it costs a fraction of the GMS3
- your a/c has been re-enabled
- you can get an HPT compatible version (if that's your bag)
- you can replace the original user set rev limiter with a launch controll lie the SS/TC (if that's your bag)
I simply see no downside.

I dont see why there are added bonus's with the trifecta stage 3 over a basic tune from vince. (besides the launch control feature) to my understanding. I am waiting to hear back from him. Because one does cost more then the other.

when I talked to him about it (HINT)*, I had understood that he has more time invested in making the Trifecta-Stage3 available, and cost is some what reflective of the time he's spent making said tune available...
IMHO launch control is much less cool than the user set rev limiter!
The integrated nitrous dry shot is pretty freaking cool too!
* = I only mention it because you seemed to be unaware. I am by no means going to step on your toes regarding any tunes you've arranged in my area ~ I mean at the end of hte day if someone should prefer to deal with you over me, that's their call.

No prob I love giving feedback. I give it to the GF all the time ie no teeth faster slower flip over etc.... Right now I just want to tune done. I went for a spin last night and it was boosting higher but sounded like a blow off valve skipping like a record and had no go.

yes sir!
Granted Jordan comes down here every so often, but I was hearing gripes about there not being a local, so I ponied up ~ I mean at the end of the day a local can help out on short notice if someone is in a bind... and being 1,300km's away would pose a problem...
I forgot to ask;
by "stage 3" did you mean 60# injectors & a 2.9" pulley? ~ or have you changed it up somewhat?
I've come to understand that Stage 3 component wise is:

- 76mm (2.9") pulley
- 60 lb injectors
- cooling
- 50hp dry-shot nitrous *optional*

I don't doubt that given the choice that some very likely will choose one dealer over another;
I mean it's not like I'm proactive about being the most likable guy around!
If I happen to hear any leads that might work out better for you to take care of, I'll pass it along - hopefully you can do the same...
I've had roughly half a dozen interested parties (one of which Vince directly emailed me about) - but all seem somewhat reluctant... I'm not going to hound anyone or brow beat people into getting a tune...
oh well.

I figured as much - don't worry about it Jordan.

Ya as Dustin said I got the ZZP Stg 3 kit. I chose the 2.8 pulley 60 injectors and Thier stg 3 heat exchanger. As for the tune I decided on. The trifecta cuz it sounded a bit better as a base tune vs a canned tune by hpt if I was to get more go fast parts on I might switch up to hpt but let's see how the trifecta goes. Next mods will be cooling focused. Dual pass option b maybe meth. After that I am unsure I want to do some appearance mods like a hood. Then exhaust or handling so much to do so little money. A ha.

wait a second!!
@YD;
you have the stock axles still?
that's living large
after cooling I'd opt for axles...
I've spoken to people who while bone stock grenaded their axles...
I didn't know that the launch control costed more... then again I haven't ordered one of those tunes, so I guess you can only find out by ordering it
