Manitoba SS's 2011 Thread!
not in the slightest...
Jordan's car, and Cobalt's are most assuredly not the only pictures I save...
...
Good to read Jordan!
From my personal experience parts are more pricey over there because of your 'communist insurance' ~ if I can help you out, just ask.... our Kijiji isn't too shabby.

Thats a good lookin' balt man! Im curious to see what the rims look like in person, how were they painted? Just a rattle can? I actually dont have any pics of the new balt yet, I just have the one pic I have the day I picked it up and then just 1 or 2 of my rims fitting over the brembos.
You like your Yota's I see.
How come you got rid of the balt?
Nice and clean! I really like yellow and red balts with the low pro spoilers, although I dont think it looks as good on black.
Not mine.. I actually havent decided what to do with them yet, and am actually glad that dude is asking what he is for them.. I had planned on putting them up for cheaper then that(if I do).
Great pics! What springs? You say 'the good ol days' - what has changed with it?

How come you got rid of the balt?
i got rid of the cobalt casue i didnt like the fact that all the money i was dumping into it for payments and then the retarded buy out payment at the end.$370.00 a month with like a $14000 buy out at the end at the time
i didnt like the fact that it was very limited power potential for what it was worth imo/
i wanted to get on a platform that if i was going to "dump " money into it for mods i wanted to comtinue modding on something i was familiar with.....gtr rb26 skyline had amazing potential and a rock solid platform ! unfortunatly that car was not ment to be and went through almost 3 motors before it was even saftied....
the soarer and yellow mr2 i regieved for the payment for the $14000 for the skyline that i paid and the guy couldnt pay me back, lomg story short i got the 2 cars, threatened his life, sold the cars for the same amount
i love my purple mr2,awwome car, great power for what it is,destroys alot fo cars out there except jordans lol
if i invested $2500 ish into it i would have a rock solid 450-500 hp dd that would destroy most lol...
say what you must about ricers . civics, toyotas, whatever
toyota, nissan, honda make strong motors and most of them are cable of 300 to 900 hp all day long.
but keep in mind...i'm not a douchebag jdm freak or a civic jerk who thinks my car > everything else out there lol, those guys are tools

If your building a drag car, Don't waste your time turbocharging a cobalt. People do it, but it costs a load of money.
Look at Kevin. He knew the right way was to go with a Camaro. For the price he will invest in that he will touch times his LSJ would never see.
If you want a fun roll racing car, no reason not to turbo a LSJ. If you want a fun track car, buy a TVS and spend the rest on suspension mods.

Turboing a lsj and the power is endless......really
ROFL !!!!
My block in my car is rated to 350 to 400 on stock internals . No matter what weight mods you do on your cobalt I will still be lighter if I do weigh reduction. Rear wheel drive rear engine light car, with a few more bucks invested I would have a monster on my hands
Good thing my block isn't stock internals anymore lol
And jordan....if I can get my cams dialed in next spring your cars is dead !......just saying lol

beleave me im not saying my mr2 is better then anyone else's car....im not that kinda guy.
i mainly didnt like the payments and buyout at the end, that was my #1 complaint
and for me to gwt to the goal i would of liked it would of been expensive.you have to realize that this was 4 years ago when i had my cobalt.things were a little more costly and the technolgy there is now wasnt really there at a resonable price that it is now imo.
do i miss my sc...yes without a doubt
would i buy another 1....nope
i could invest the same amount or less money into what i have now to make the same if not more power then i could of back then lol
and on top of it all there are no more payments to gm hahahaha

I hear ya man. I guess I just really like my car because it was cheap, it looks good, it takes down some V8s and it's great on gas. It's just an all around sweet daily driver is why I like my Balt so much. But by no means is it even close to what I would prefer to cruze in lol. But who drives what they want right?

And your little cereal box toy car will never be faster then my Cobalt
Also I am looking for an SS grill either SC or TC style. Mines all broken and won't hold my billet grill on anymore. So If anyone has a line on one let me know looking to spend $50
