Wish I would have known that before buying a TVS! I could have just got Mike to kick me into the 12s!

Keep in mind this is a general guide and the Highway Traffic Act applies too.

Payday, and im broke.

I don't understand how working a stat holiday only gives me 40 more dollars on a cheque.

I really don't make enough money at this place

You know Jordan, from some of your posts last year, I thought you were making good money at your job....
I could have sworn you clearly said you were being paid well...
I could have sworn you only had words of praise...

If you're finding that Winnipeg isn't a good fit, I'd suggest you do like me, and move out west...
IIRC Saskatoon offers alot, and has cheap insurance to boot...
Or you can come out here...

I moved back to Alberta (I still have my MB plates to prove it) when I decided that my future was rather limited in Winnipeg...
The best job I had (which got eliminated prior to the company being sold) was at Wilmar Windows... otherwise it seemed like most people our age were stuck in the fast-food rutt...

I've half looked at Calgary as a place to move, and i would in a heart beat- i have good family to stay with and such.

Just finding a job is rough, because i would have to fly (or drive) in for just a interview.

My job was good, it paid (what i thought was) well at the time. However i quickly realized how they structure their pay here is bad (semi-monthly and only 75 hrs per 15 days). My hourly rate is decent but how its broken down i only get 800 after tax per 15 days.

I thought there would be room to advance here, but it seems everyone makes ****, even managers

well Jordan, I learnt this years ago;
You either have to suck it up, and quit whining, or step out, take some risks, and earnestly try to better yourself.

With risks, comes tough times, but often you'll be better in the long run.

If I didn't I would have been stick in a decent job that paid beans - or stayed in Winnipeg, with a questionable future... (I was really at a cross roads, and hadn't seriously considered school ~ but did briefly look into what Red River College offered...

Look into Saskatoon too;
Their job sector is supposed to be good, they have a lower cost of living (or so I've understood), and have less traffic (again, or so I've understood).

Saskatoon actually tries to 'poach' Calgarians - having advertising campaigns specifically trying to lure Calgarians there...

Having no education or certificates makes it very hard to get a good job. I've worked no less than 10 different entry level positions. Security, construction, retail, Flooring, etc.

After doing all of this I've learned than no good job exists with no education or training.
My current job I entered in the wash bay, now I'm in an apprentice parts program for three years.

The only advice I can offer is to take a job where you see definite opportunities to educate/train through the company, when I took the job I made sure to express my interest in moving up.

Either that or get an education
