I'm suprised there is a rattle. Sure everything is tight? Or was there possibly a rattle before?

That's about the best first mod you could do! Do an Airbox mod and get a trifecta budget tune (if your not planning on doing much else)
If you get a tune get the cat warm up mode shut off.

 

Lol! I almost had to drive home from gimli on drag radials! The damage to the side skirt it's thaaat bad. But it bugs me haha.

Rattle will probably be your heat shield hitting your o2 sensor. Get underneath and bend/cut off the heatshield hitting

 

Oh yeah! I forgot about that heat shield. I had to bend it pretty good to get the o2 sensor out. I'll bet thats what is causing his rattle!

Oh for sure! You just strap it to your lower grill and it filters out contaminants from your IC. Easily gaining you 60-70whp.

Haven't heard the rattle again. O2 sensor seemed fine when installing it.

One issue I had and forgot to mention yesterday is on my first driver after installing the dp I stalled(left it in third) When I turned the key it just kept cranking and no start. Turned the ignition off and tried again and it started completely normal. Hasn't happened since but just thought I'd ask.

Ha and I would pick up the filter but I'm dirt broke right now. Buying tons of tools for work.

 

I'll bet your computer was doing a CPU/ignition test. If you ever unplug your battery it will do the same thing first start.

my canyon was almost up on its 100k warranty so i decided to drop it and get a new car for the wife and i.

picked up a 2013 elantra gt gsl hatchback and im lovin it.great little car and the gas differences has been huge already

Hahaha the turbo is not for the elantra , there will be no modding other then an intake and maybe exhaust once something is available.

And the mr2 is quick enough for a 20 year old and she likes to play with the new kids out there lol
Once I can swapo it over itll be a lot more fun
