Still one more race here if I can get the weekend off. Hope to upgrade my times a bit more.

I hate these clutches. When you change it get rid of the stupid restriction in the slave so it engages faster. You going with the Excedy Hyper single? There is a dude on ebay I think it was like $850 shipped

dont you remember?? i have an exedy on hand waiting for such an event. but what im missing is a quaife LSD. no point in not doing both at same time. and the kicker, id order one up today, but its almost my 40th B-day, and the wife would kill me since she copied my wish list bookmarks for certain parts......diff, axles, shifter, head.....
actually, she thinks i should just get all new gmpp race block-heads-crank- etc, then i told her it would be 20k to put that motor together and she gave mer the bunny in the headlights look, lawl.

but next spring, i should have it all together the way i want her.
off to go tune a lnf solstice with a hahn turbo.....awd mustang dyno shop opened across the street,
and they dont have HPT yet. heh. im just brown nosing to get free pulls,

I don't have a scanner, but I had three runs last night and here are my times:

RUN # 1
R/T : .652
60' : 2.506
1/8 : 9.945
MPH : 74.00
1/4 : 15.205
MPH : 94.14

RUN # 2
R/T : .751
60' : 2.599
1/8 : 9.866
MPH : 75.02
1/4 : 15.062
MPH : 95.41

RUN # 3
R/T : .638
60' : 2.550
1/8 : 9.853
MPH : 74.80
1/4 : 15.047
MPH : 95.37

The times are not TOO bad. For my first time ever racing I think I did not too bad. My coolant temp was around 105C by the last run....so she was running warm. But that can always be fixed. Wheel hop was not that much fun either, and I know if I had the lower A-arm poly mounts I would have had none....but that is a mod for next year. I am done for mods this year as winter is approaching.

I had fun and it was nice to meet some of the fellow cobaltss.net members from the Calgary area. Thanks guys!

nothin wrong with that for first time out bro.
your 60foots are where you will gain your time.
theres at least 0.3 seconds to save right there. which is up to 0.5-0.6 total on the 1/4 mile

what are ya launchin at? getting lots of hop/spin?

Yeah I am getting a lot of wheel hop. On my first run I tried to "smoothly" release the clutch....bu I do not want to burn out my clutch by riding it. So I basically just brought it up to about 1500 to 2000 rpm and let it go. But still getting some wheel hop.

Thanx man I’m thinking my first upgrade will be Ingrals and some stiffer trany mounts. I’m hoping with that alone i can get into the low 14's maybe even high 13's. This engine is very powerful just it can put all that power to the wheels with stock parts.

youll find that next season youll probably be running about 0.4 faster, just for the experience that youll get driving it for the next 8 months.

i was running 14.7s in edmonton shortly after i bought the car.
then after the winter, my first pass the next season was a 14.3

yeah calgary is not so great for glory times lol.
my first ever passes in calgary were 15.1s bone stock.
car only had 1000 miles so i was very green. but that track + the DA are a killer.

Yea man that’s ok it will just make it that much easier when I go to another track lol. I’m hoping in spring a few of us Calgary boys will get together and go to Edmonton one day together and do a few runs up there: P.
