2007 ALBERTA Cobalt Top 1/4 mile Times.
i would think with your mods you should be getting at least another 5mph and 0.2-0.4 seconds quicker.
but im comparing that to edmonton.
thought about coming to castrol to compare? its likely your track/conditions keeping your times a bit higher.

I think I'll go to Edmonton sometime to the track but I'm gonna have a hard time packing my DRs and suitcases and stuff in the car lol. I'd like to go sometime though.

Gawd I hated oilfield work, but i LOVED the money. It's the trade off and IMO it's a crappy one. I went back to school instead, I could go back out there in 2 years in a wireline truck but meh I'd rather sit behind a desk downtown.
than u dont know work, if sitting behind a desk it cheeky to you, fine go hard, but 10 years down the line when i own my instrument company, that diversifies to anything in the world , wholl be sitting further, ahead, IMO its all about who u work for, and what ur doing,
what is really so crappy about oilfield work, i find nothign wrong with it, other than i may get covered in crude oil here and there, but IMO
i make around 50 an hour, plus i have full use of a company truck(that includes gas), i have a company CC, full use of a company phone, a complete fully tooled shop with lift and crane and i only work 40 a week when i want
u wont find me sitting behind a desk for a long time, i find its boring and u do the same thing over and over, i do something completely different everyday and i get to blow thousands of dollars worth of electronics up, just cuz i can, and i also get to work with top of the line electronics that may or may not be the future

sunfire joe, your making 50 per hour and your driving a cobalt?? Say you work 40 hrs per week, your grossing 8000 per month... you should be able to afford payments on a vette pretty easily.....
not criticizing or anything....just saying...
chances are you are probly investing ur money elsewhere if you plan to have your own company or w/e......
but yeah, I am a welltesting supervisor and i pull in my fair share per month...
and there is no way you will ever see me behind a desk lol... i think its totally worth it being away from home making this kinda money instead of making **** all behind a desk....
to make the money I make, you would need 6 years of school and then 5-10 years experience at a job with ur degree and then you would make as much as me and probly more... but your already starting out in debt from 6 years of loans you have to pay off, where i will have already made about 1 million dollars gross in those 6 years you were in school........
So I would still be ahead 10-15 years from now than the guy who went to school....

Wider tires and play with the pressure. Remember, I said "street" tires, not stock tires. But they're just typical tires... not drag radials or anything like that. I can't remember exactly, but I think they're Nexen N3000.
