I heard that the Calgary track may be extended for another 3 years b4 it's officially shut down.. on Srt4oA, but I can't confirm it.

And ya.. Rob should probably update the 1/4 mile times lol.. quite a few on here since people posted from the day of the meet that haven't gone up yet.

That's why you left! I stayed for one more run because my third run I red lit and didn't want to leave with that.

Firestorm that is a really nice 60', are you on stock tires? How do you launch? Also i cant seem to get higher then 104 trap, even when I ran a 13.3.

my 60 foot cobalt times are the same with azenis, as with slicks. cant beat 2.0. i really need to limit boost more in first,(currently at 80%) smoking slicks aint cool, im sure i looked like a rookie.
the car totally wasnt setup or tuned. motor was real tight. ran 10.9 afr, and 1200 deg egt. i made 2 second gear passes behind my shop logging, and wrote a tune mere hours before track time. i was real gunshy to really get the most out of the new motor.
as far as launching, i tried to stage at about 2500, and feather to WOT over about 12 feet.
the cobalt has been down the track 6 times since the spring of 2007. i will have to resume next spring, i have to turn the balt into a winter beater now.
the 1.89 in the camaro was a treat to see, and on 20" street tires.

p.s. car 4182 was a modded vette.

Not to be a jackass or anything, but I dont think you were spinning the slicks...unless they were cold, and had lots of air pressure in them. What kind of burnout were you doing with them....How long, what gear etc?

Like I said, I hope I dont come across as being a jackass.

unm, no offence. but you werent there. i did a second gear, 6k posi burnout. and held it until the car powered out approaching the starting line. 13 lbs. and i can roast em in first.i can spin them into second. front of the car was slipping sideways. so, how fast is 6k rpm in second, right, you wouldnt know, driving a ford.

I sold him those slicks, and with less power than him I spun occasionally in second, and even chirped hard in third.
remember, FWD cars want to lift the drive tires off the ground when you apply alot of tq.
Its ALOT harder to spin slicks in a RWD.
hell, my fiero has 320hp+ and doesnt even squeek the street tires.
