Well we are trying to get groups together in four different cities so that we can all travel in groups to Drunheller for the meet.

why in the world drumheller?
im all for a big meet, but drumheller?!?!

the great majority of us are in/around edmonton, or in/around calgary.
the logical choices are edmonton, calgary, or red deer IMO.

dunno, just my thoughts.....

again....drumheller wtf?!? lol

Well sorry guys, too far for me to travel, closer to Edmonton and I'd be all over it but that's way to far for me. Plus I dunno how great the car will run with the turbo and a long trip. Shouldn't relly matter but ya never know.

The reason I picked Drumheller is because not many people go there, less traffic to deal with and we can get some sick pictures there. We have all been to Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer many times......just want to do something different.

It is no different then heading to the mountains for the meet. Just a different place to go!

Scared a dinosaur will eat your car an0malous?

Just too far for me, sorry no gonna make it. Like I said, Edmonton would be the best central location. Which is what was discussed earlier in this thread but ended up picking the most uncentral place.

Well Edmonton is a three hour drive from Calgary. Red Deer area is central to Alberta and is the easier place to go to then Edmonton. There might be 5 people from northern Alberta coming to the meet.......more will be from Edmonton south. So the Red Deer area would be a more logical choice.

So we have lots of cars.........and you want crappy pictures? I would much rather have good pics with everyone then a fuzzy cellphone pic.

Well I think most of use would like to see something around Red Deer......just easier for 95% of us. Yes it will be a longer drive for some......but that is just the way it is unfortunately.

What about revisiting the Pine Lake idea?

its easy for us to get to drumheller....... u 2 come from medicine hat, we'll meet in brooks, than we'll take the 36 to the number 9 that go west on the number 9, than turn down on the 56, and TADA were in drumheller! much faster for us 2 do it that way rather than go to calgary and meet the calgary guys than head to drumheller.......

also....... i will not be coming to the meet if its held in edmonton. its just to long of a drive. and the roads blow goats....... the past 2 years the "big meets" have been held in edmonton. lets try out a new location, i'm all for drumheller!

screw it, lets just have our meet in fort mcmurray! hahahaha!

I agree that Edmonton is very central.....but for those down south it is long drive.......just as it would be from Grande Prarie or Saskatoon is to Drumheller.

Like I said before we can not make everyone happy and that some people will be left out.

LOL Trust me......you do NOT want to drive up the "Highway of Death" Highway 63.

They released some stats the other day.....there has been 1100 accidents on 63 since 2001. 25 fatalities, and over 250 major/serious injuries.

Since October 2007 there has been 6 deaths alone.

It is a **** highway.

I would be in if you guys can make up your mind. Keep in mind some of us are coming from Saskatoon and have a long drive. I would like to see it timed for some event happening somewhere. Carshow, races, festival etc. A Dragstrip close buy could be fun as well, or timed for a cruise night or local car club show? Does Drumheller have a show going on?
Either way, I would need some notice as most and I would be in. Roadtrip for the Sask group.

Well we are more then likely sticking with Drumheller for a meet.

Co-ordinating it with a car show or something like that would just end up with everyone doing their own thing. This way we can be focused on the meet and not have to set up times for this and that. Just makes things easier.

I wish that everyone could come.........but we just can't do that with Alberta because we are spread out all over the place. If we were in PEI.......it would be much easier.
