I recently came to understand that one of my favorite aspects of Pontiac's was used on the Solstice (red backlighting on gauges & steering wheel controls);

I have heard that the G5's might have also had this to.

I'm wondering if anyone local has a car that I can see this in person on - it might give me a little project to do over the next while...

if someone NOT local is reading this and cares, maybe you can post up pics?

The only thing red on the G5 GT's are the gauges. the wheel, raido and all that is just like the balts.

so the gauges then DO have red backlighting - and one would only need to get the Solstice wheel pieces to make it all red backlit?

My g5 has silver and red. At night it's red back lighting. I would trade for some one with blue back lighting.

I've recently come to understand that the G5 gauges only appear red becasue of the silkscreened gauge faces ~ and that the bulbs are the same between Cobalt & G5.

now all this info was from state-side G5 owners ~ do you know if all Canadian G5's had white faced gauges or not?
*I mean the G5 was offered for two years in Canada that it wasn't offered state-side (2005 & 2010), and we have both coupes & sedans, while they have only coupes... so I'm guessing there are some differences between Canadian & state-side G5's
