this i am not sure but they should be close.... also the neon is not as finiky as a balt..... also on a side note this problem was happening on stock plugs and it doesnt bog or run rough.... it actually runs extremely well...... maybe they are gapped horrible i could check.... i am thinking tho maybe jeff is right, but from what i have read or watch on youtube.... if this is the problem the car wouldnt start at all..... thats why i am questioning it.....

Mark;

look at the basics:
-spark
-fuel

try to determine which is the culprit and take it from there.

spark plugs are easy to test ~ if you pull the plug, and all spark, then it's not plugs, therefore it must be fuel...

Please, for the love of Peter, don't go to Jeff for mechanical.

Bring it in to the guys at Bonavista Auto - they're kiddie corner from the shop;
these guys are professional, reasonably priced, and totally honest.
(they're no longer in Bonavista btw)

Everyone whom I've sent there has appreciated the tip.

Bonavista Truck and Auto

the shop which I used to work at offered seasonal check ups - I'd be surprised if they didn't do something similar.

I got a pm, but it made no sense.

btw, I did breeze over the last day's posts, and it reads as though you're potentially going to throw parts at it;
how much is a single sensor?
Maybe you'ld be in it for less having someone with a good scanner look at it?

Is it showing there's a service engine light?

I really hate the prospect of throwing parts at a car hoping that the problem will cure...

what kind of plugs are they?
some of the newer plugs aren't really gapable... they go out of spec, nad promptly need to find their way to the garbage.
before I'd look at sensors I'd verify that you have fuel.

It could be something like a bad knock sensor cutting fuel (iirc that situation will not throw a code)...

Just saying.

one the part i plan on throwing at it is a very common problem with them, second no check engine light scanner wont help..... the car runs fine and has gas this is nothing but a extremely long delay start problem.... it gets gas, it get spark, it gets air, it gets crank.... but it takes several cranks to fire up.... it is a weird thing... by several cranks i mean a good 30 seconds to a minute.... other then this it really runs extremely well... i know you dont trust jeff but i am wondering maybe he is right....

Well if you think it needs another the I would give it another one Jordan.

Mark....... Your turning it all homo up in here! Lol

Greg, that's a bit unnerving that you admit to liking packages on a male dominated forum..... Just saying! Lol

Josh has his good times and bad times. Depends on what you ordered. I find that the larger parts take longer to get
