I left High River at aprox. 12:00pm Thursday to have a bachelor schindig in Calgary that afternoon - so I narrowly missed their crap-show (and subsequently have only recently been clued into just how bad it got down there);
My half of Riverbend had the power cut;
All or Riverbend was under evacuation, but only about one street was a mandatory evacuation - so I went to bed on Thursday with power, knowing that (none of) Riverbend was under mandatory evac;
I woke up to no power, and finding out that a part of Riverbend went to a mandatory evac over night.
To the best of my knowledge, they cut power around 5am Friday morning, and power was turned back on at 11:45pm Friday night.

I drove around some closed streets and saw the the river flowing under Glenmore - it was astonishing(!);
I also made it to that hill which overlooks the Stampede grounds and saw the grounds under water(!!!)...

 

So is this going to postpone the wedding?

 

Ya no kidding. I'm fortunate enough that where I live flooding doesn't affect me. But others by the river may not be so lucky.

It's not looking likely;
For the past several years I have made it down there for my great-aunts birthday (she'll be 101 this year), but this is in the first week of July, and with the wedding ect, I m looking to ve maxed on holiday time...
So I'd still like to head down - at this time I'm guessing it won't happen.

 

 

I got my fuel problem on my truck fixed! If anyone wants to run I'll take you out! Lol

It was great until the hail storm an hour ago. My SUV is essentially looks like a golf ball .

At least my new talon was in the garage .
