congratulations buddy. so when is the bachelor party cuz i will drive up there just to party with you and see some strippers. and nice. ya i still have a few more bills before i can really start modding my car
**** that, i'm gonna be heading up to edmonton a fair amount in the coming year. so plenty of time for us to get together and party. i got family in edmonton and leduc
whats the background on your car. what mods have you done, honestly do you drive aggressively, has it ever happened before. the only thing i can think of off the top of my head is blow by that would cause that, and thats not good. if you have access to the tools are a shop to do a compression test i would start there.
this is the info i found on GM's SI webpage
Condition/Concern:
On rare occasions, the engine oil dipstick may become unseated on hard acceleration, resulting in an engine oil leak. If the engine is operated long enough like this, a P0171 DTC could set due to the engine ingesting unmetered air.
This concern is the result of excessive crankcase pressure on hard acceleration. This crankcase pressure may be the result of an intake manifold gasket concern that allows supercharger boost pressure to bypass the intake manifold gasket where it seals around the PCV orifice, which is between the #2 and #3 intake runners.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If the SI diagnostics do not isolate a cause for this concern, replace the intake manifold gasket using part number 12597855, which contains an updated sealing surface around the PCV orifice. This part number, or any future part number, is designed to address this concern.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

I had the same problem. I added a breather to the hose that comes out of the back of the valve cover. It happens because there is to much pressure built up in the crank case. sidejam had the same issue at one point and solved it the same way I think.
Its happened 2 times now. All I have is a cai(this is when I started having this problem but when I changed the intake noticed oil in the old stock intake). Don't drive too agressively but think it happened when I was climbing a hill on the highway and boost was up.
So do you think it would be just the gasket. Will gm check all of this stuff or will the dealerships in town just blow me off?

well i know people have solved this problem by putting an oil catch can and a breather on their valve cover pressure release line. and malek is correct the problem is due to too much pressure in the crank case. i would take it to a dealer tell them that your dipstick has been popping out and see what they tell you, without having a compression test done and actually seeing the motor there's not much any of us can do to help. and i wouldn't just start throughing parts at it in hopes that it will fix the problem

nah just kidding It was a car we sold at work I had to do a Out of province inspection on it and on the road test, I swung by the house and took a couple pics. It would have been fun if the roads were better.
