Well I am sure that we will get some use out of it when I get back down Mark. I have to put my 3" pulley on and my 1 step colder plugs and then we can go tuning!

I can't wait until HP Tuners unlocks everything for my car too!
Until then, I guess I'll just keep bolting on new parts...

**** i hate this weather. go to work and its dry. leave work and there's a **** load of white stuff on the ground. that and i forgot that my wiper blades were on so when i started my car my door was open (first mistake) and when it cleared the snow i got 90% of it in the car . so had to clear most of it out. and then on my way home it was slow going no suprise there but just south of heritage on elbow a pedestrian i assume had gotten hit or slipped and fell cuz she was laying in the middle of the road with a bunch of people's jackets and such on here and then i see 2 firetrucks and an ambulance heading towards them.

Tuning the A/F and raising the rev limiter can be done with HP Tuners. There are some "canned" tunes, like BSR, that also raise the boost levels as well. However, a few of us Sky/Solstice guys are waiting for full control including unlocking shift points and how hard the automatics can shift. I don't have HP Tuners myself, so I'm not 100% sure of its exact limitations...

If I can raise the boost a bit, add some timing, raise the rev limiter, raise the shift points on the tranny and make it shift faster, my Sky should be reasonably quick. I'll be ordering a turbo back exhaust in the next couple of weeks. That alone has shown gains around 35 rwhp. I've also adjusted the wastegate arm to help the turbo spool up a little faster. Even if I can't tune the car much this year, putting on some wider stickier tires will help drop my 0-60 and 60 ft times. Oh, and there isn't the slightest hint of wheel hop with the Sky!

Too bad I never got to take it to the track when it was stock...

(Sorry. Got kinda carried away with my reply...)

i'd say i wouldn't mind getting mine tuned to get a little more performance out of her. first i need to get rid of the wheel hop.

I'll take a look in the repository and familiarize myself with some sky tunes and potential changes.

How do they go about raising boost levels with just changes to a tune?

I got a pair, but I'm not going to install them without a set of traction bars. Theres a few horror stories about cabs getting destroyed quickly because they are so stiff, and there is lateral travel in the control arm during regular driving.

Those were the crappy jbp ones I've had the intense ones over a year now with no issues I just looked at them today and there ok.If you'r running traction bars I would waste my time putting the bushing's in.

Good to know. I have the jbp ones sitting in a drawer, haven't put them in. From the pictures I've seen, i didn't think the two makes were much different.

The vacuum signal to the wastegate is controlled by an electronic solenoid. Also, if the IAT2 sensor sees to high of a boost signal with the stock tune, it spits out a code. (And yes, I do know that IAT means Intake Air Temperature, but apparently it senses boost too...)

Total different formula the intense ones are black I think the jbp ones are red. Intense was giving a discount to guys that got the jbp ones . If you got them from intense they'll probably swap ya.

Yeah no prob dude. I've done the tranny mounts, and the bushing just need rental of a ball joint press.

There's an autovalue up the street from my house. (Another plus if we do the install day at my house)

They don't charge to rent tools for the day, just a deposit.

We can do it at the install day, or sooner if you like. I'd just have to pull my baby out of the garage.

btw, are the tranny mounts you are getting the full billet replacments, or just the inserts?

Don't do the inserts unless you want tons of vibes in the car.And the cabs go in much nicer with a hydraulic press.
