Calgary - random talk thread
its all red bull. my eyes look like they got a 100lb weight on both of them but i'm stupidly cheering. i won't be once this client calls in due to you guessed it, retard other employee who decided to get authorization for something and then push it behind everything else.
so after my colleages said a system was dead, and couldn't be repaired. i decided to take a swing at it and see what i could do. well after some digging and such i managed to fix the unit. passes all stress tests flawlessly and all hardware tests i could think of.
so i now own one of these beauties.

That is literally it, male or female... I'd guess there's only 10-15 LSJ's in the city, and no LNF's that I'm aware of. I've seen a silver LNF with high rise and an imperial blue with low rise, but neither of them were from the city.
I keep seeing a red LSJ lately though.
I thought I saw you the other day, but then I saw the low rise
Joel
The red LSJ lives and/or works in my subdivision or close to it, same with the black '07 with flames down the side. Then there's yours, another orange with high rise, black with low rise, 2 blacks with high rise, the horrible sounding laser with high rise, and a sport red with high rise. Silver has been completely MIA. Also used to see an '05 arrival blue one that looked pretty beat up, haven't seen that since last summer I think.
75% of the LSJ's are driven by twenty something guys with backward caps...
90% of the 2.4L cars are driven by middle aged women..
nuff said.
... oh wait a minute that didn't work so well, did it
Come on you should put me on the "seen in Lethbridge" list - I mean I've met up with you off of Mayor Magrath twice...
It seems like every time I come into Lethbridge I see at least one LSJ on MM...
That definitely seems to be the case down here also, most 2.4's are owned by women, it seems.
Well yes, of course there's yours... but I know you're from Calgary and that was my "spotted in Lethbridge and POSSIBLY from the city but unlikely" list.

Ya guys what you getting at?
I did see a girl and 22 driving a ss/na on glenmore last night. I got up beside just to check lol. Of course she was on her phone, most likely bitching at her boyfriend as she was using her other hand to make gestures (she was driving with no hands so I got outta there)

but considering who it's coming from, this reply is ok too
I'm not, and have never knocked the 2.4L cars >150hp fwd compacts are ok in my books...
the more power the better, but once the 150hp point is reached, it just makes the car that much more livable... err, tolerable.
And hey, I was just saying... I mean look at me;
I before buying my Cobalt last year February, I spent the better part of the preceding decade behind the wheel in an otherwise nondescript old Grand Am... So I would have no leg to stand on for bashing...
IMHO as far as cool factor goes - there's no competition;

(that was GA #1 btw, 150hp/5spd)
But being the kind of guy I am, I saw the price tag of buying another used 180hp GA (which is what GA#2 was) for a couple K tops, way more appealing than the roughly 25K for an SS/2.4 (with less power on paper) or the $30k+ for an SS/SC (with only 25 more hp on paper)...
I never raced #1 or #2 at the track, but know that #2 would have murdered #1... and in 2007 when I started bringing #3 to RC, I almost had a couple SC's... but I'm sure it was all about the driver ~ it was kinda cool to be ahead of this nice black SC, but then at the end of the track he slowly walked by me
i actually don't know what HP i'm at. i want to hit up a dyno to find out. i know stock i was at the 176hp range i'm really curious if my mods actually added anything to that
unless you're car is really heavily modded, why bother dynoing?
