You know what guys....
I'm really liking the looks of this;

Has anyone local done this?
Yellow might be a bit much for my car though...
I mean I have a spare valvecover!

On Mayor today I did a ricer flyby on a grey ZR1 hoping he'd get on it a little bit. He pinned it from about 70 in 2nd and rocketed past me... hands down the best sound I've ever heard in person from a car. Might even sound better than an LP560-4.
Not even a hint of whine though? I know it's not gonna sound like an M62 or anything but it still sounded pretty much like a Z06 to me.

I did do my favourite thing tonight, dusting mustangs
I'm thinking 16g turbo swap for this car and a real IC. Side mount IC ftl

This weekend puts into perspective how damn the argument on this site about whether or not the 2.4 deserves SS badges, when seemingly every single Chevy car before 1980 is plastered with SS badges, be it 100 hp or 1,000. It really means nothing.
the last incarnation of a Chevrolet "compact" to adorn the "SS" badges was the 1976 Nova SS;
It was essentially a looks only package;
It had a smoged-out 350 small block that made a whopping 176hp... there are older/lower powered SS models too...
I don't think that any trucks should have received the SS badge - that was a car thing;
It wouldn't be hard for me to advocate the 'SS-454' as being deserving of hte SS badge, as it was a truly unique package for it's time ~ but the late model Silverado's and Trail Blazer's - NO WAY
I respectfully disagree.
- FWD versus RWD is simply a sign of the times...
- For several years you simply could not buy a RWD compact or midsized Chevrolet car - only the Camaro (cancelled after 2002), and the Corvette remained on as RWD cars ~ but neither of those could be seen as overly practical, as compared to the Nova's (compact), Chevelle's (mid sized) , and Impalla's (full sized) of bygone days...
- The Super Sport package has always been about making the car seem sporty - in the past you could always order large engines without the SS package...
You can always order larger engines in a vehicle from the factory. I bought a 2001 gmc 2500 HD with a 8.1L and a 5 speed Allison tranny in it. The guy I bought it from ordered it from the factory like that.
If I get the money from my condo right away I will be taking the coil overs. It should be quick since we are supposed to get it on Friday. Then by the time the bank figures out what payout on the mortgage and all that it will be hopefully the Monday. So hopefully I'll have the money mid next week.

Tuned LSJ's really don't like cold start ups, do they. Thing was bucking like my 2.4 was when the maf wires were fried. Fine once warmed up but I was starting to think I was cursed with these cars.
well for some reason I'm feeling the need for change. from what I've been thinking, the balt will stay as it is.(Parts that I already have will be put on) and any parts that I have showing up will go on her or be sold.
I think I'll concentrate either on rebuilding my Trans Am or buying a house. anybody got any ideas on which one?
