lol well consider yourself lucky. I was told by the service guy there behind the desk that they only do that for actual customers or something like that

they should be doing it for all customers seeing as they are paying for the service and not damage to their vehicle.

he paid for a service. doesn't matter if he bought tires from them or not. they damaged his rims and they should be either paying for a new rim or refinishing it. thats just good business

Been easy on it as far as the shifter goes. I haven't launched the car at all. Babying the shifts, the 2-3 shift in that WOT vid I posted is a good example... not fast whatsoever.

Having said that, I only recall a shifter this smooth and crisp on the LNF I test drove, all the LSJ's I've driven were soft compared to this. That pin must just stretch over time no matter how you drive.

ya i've seen that plenty of times, its from the tire machine they used, they used the one with the metal pivot point rather then the plastic one for aluminum rims. i would raise hell

i plan on it. you cant see it in the picture but the wheel is covered in black ****. they didnt even bother to clean the wheel once they remounted the tire. its almost like they were trying to cover up the marks

no the black stuff is gonna be bead sealer, which shouldn't have been used. the bead should have been properly cleaned.

I don't understand how anyone would think that would go unnoticed... Knowing GM, I won't be surprised if some ******* service manager tries to call it curb rash and blame it on you.

I phoned fountain tire this morning and told them the situation. The assistant manager also has a cobalt sc and when I said they messed up my wheel he said right away I think I know what happened. Bring it in tomorrow and we will see if it can be fixed or if we need to order you a new wheel. So it sounds like he knew someone fucked it up and they were hoping I wouldnt notice or care.

so i think i'm dreaming. as i'm driving, a BMW, more specifically a BMW Roadster complimented me on my car and said it sounded good. at first he asked if it was supercharged and was shocked that it wasn't.

and a few days ago a Honda civic (which didn't sound too bad itself) said the same thing and asked me how much boost i was pushin. i don't think my car sounds boosted but apparently other people do hahahaha

^ I bet your car sounds better than most LSJ's. I've never been a fan of the sound of the supercharged 4 banger haha.

Looks good man! Those things look pretty good in my opinion!

On a sidenote, I'm trying to resurrect my old trans am in the coming 2 weeks after wednesday.

Don't mind the combine in the background.

So any ideas on if she will turn over or start after being parked for 6+ years? she ran when I parked it there. I'm gonna drain the gas that's been in it for the duration of it's hibernation and flush the gas lines, Also got a new carb coming to give it a sort of fresh start! lol
Oh and I'll change the oil as well. I'm sure it looks pretty bad after that long

And

The Shiny truck goodies that I got on my week home almost 2 weeks ago!
