Almost. Was outside of Lethbridge and there was a nice jolt, I'm like... did I get the clutch back?! But actually it just disengaged and no gear would re-engage. Luckily I could coast into one of those roadside turnouts and I got it towed to the dealer just in case we can't figure out what's wrong tomorrow, they can have at er on Monday.
Thanks for the hood, though... it's awesome.

Not yet. I think I'm going to do a big install day next Saturday. Tomorrow I am going to fix my exhaust rattle and throw the proper gasket on my car lol. And then during the week I think I'm going to start installing the meth kit and get a nice clean install
There is a professionally installed GMPP clutch in there, the way he described it sounded like either there was an air bubble in the system or something.
Adrian, quit towing it to the dealer
. They are the worst haha.
i meant to actually be a pilot you need one
Joel
It's just there cause it had to go SOMEWHERE and I have no real tools to work on it here, nor an easy way to push it up my kinda steep driveway into the garage. Didn't want to have to pay for a tow twice.
The hood actually slid in there quite easily once you fold the back seats down. Doesn't even poke out over the front of the seats so you could slide your seat back all the way if you wanted to, and also fit things in the trunk.

well i might as well add to the repair lists.
went to get my control arm bushings replaced to find out the key nut on the passenger side for the subframe broke free from the welds. so basically was a pain in the ass to do my CAB's and next time i do my bushings i have to take it to a body shop to get the key nut welded back on

Tejay a couple quick questions. On the pump you spliced the power wire. What Did you have connected to the spliced wire. And that thing that that intersects the line right before the nozzle what's that for again? Also were you spraying into the throttle body spacer without the solenoid upgrade?
I'll see if he has any paperwork for it. But I highly doubt it will be of any use. lol I'm just trying to figure out what happened. I'm in 5th on Deerfoot, had been for the last ~ 200 km since Lethbridge. Went to downshift to 4th for the exit onto Glenmore... 4th was harder to get in than it should have been, I now realize the clutch was disconnected at that point, or had the bubble or whatever it is. Only "buck started" it twice, once leaving Tejay's and once on Crowchild at a light (super embarrassing), so I'm doubting that those times 2 would have wrecked everything.
In that $1,800 is $1,046 for the clutch
, stock clutch is $320 from OTTP, so yeh. I'll buying that. And probably not be having the work done at a dealership. We'll see how it goes.
Once I sell everything that can be taken off the car, the hood, couple Xboxes I have laying around, and a couple of Android phones I have laying around... I'll easily have enough for a 06-07 1.8 Civic with decently low miles.

If anybody wants anything from this car let me know, ZZP S3 heat exchanger, 3 pod pillar from ZZP, CF hood that I just bought from Tejay, IPCW outer tails, another set of stock tails, brand new set of SSC springs, and a million other things I have.
I wouldn't be surprised if the bill was half of that for the exact same work, at a non-dealer's shop...
First, if the clutch is bad, they're going to tell you to replace it all regaurdless;
Second, the flywheel should only need a resurfacing wehich is $50 tops - no need to replace it all together.
Third, iirc that's all new crap in there so the slave cylinder should be good too - now we're down two out of hte three items quoted as needing to be replaced...
Please take my advice seriously Adrian.
Also, talk to Joel - since he recently had the clutch replaced (assuming he farmed it out) the shop that did the work will stand behind it, and take it in under warranty (ect) ~ or only charge for parts if something beyond their control went bad... there's no harm in trying;
Who knows, maybe the transmission will be pulled and it will be discovered that the pressure plate wasn't properly torqued down... and that it coming loose is your whole problem...
Yeah don't worry the work won't be done at the dealer and it won't cost $1,800. That's just what they told me and it was a woman who didn't even what she was talking about. Either way, the car goes because I need to borrow money from my parents to fix at which point they decide what I do with the car once it's fixed.
